From the drinks to desserts, everything was great. I had halibut as my entrée and it was cooked perfectly. Our waiter had been at Five Sails for many years and was quite frankly the best waiter I had ever encountered. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a romantic evening. I can't say enough about how wonderful... More

The view of the Vancouver harbour as you dine is lovely. The service was very good. The food was wonderful - fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty. The Sable fish was one of the best meals I have ever had.

When visiting Vancouver recently we had a very memorable dining experience at Five Sails in Canada Place. It is expensive but the ambiance , service, food and wine offerings warrant the $$$$ rating. The attention to detail is impeccable. The views are spectacular! The dinner began with a delicious amuse-buche from award-winning Chef Ernst Dorfler. Each of the four of... More

I can't begin to summarize how amazing 5 Sails Restaurant was for my July 5, 2014 wedding! From the moment we began planning our reception dinner five months before the big day, we received invaluable help from Ms. Gerry Sayers. She responded e-mails quickly, answered any question we came up with, and coordinated the setup of all the menus and... More

Every travel book on Vancouver shows the iconic Five Sails. The food is first class and is as one would expect. Service is impeccable. Not cheap but well worth a visit.

We had the pleasure of dining there with a professional group. The restaurant was closed for our event. Appetizers were wonderful, and the dinner itself was even better! My husband had the seafood entrée and I had the beef. They were both outstanding! We met the event Cordinator to tell her how much we enjoyed the dinner, and she thanked... More

We are West Vancouver residents and treat ourselves to many of the best restaurants in the city. If we were visiting Vancouver and could only eat in one fine dining restaurant, it would certainly be The Five Sails in the Pan Pacific. Exemplary service and gourmet food in a panoramic view restaurant overlooking the mountains, Coal Harbour and Stanley park.... More

Stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel and decided to dine in one night. Best decision ever! This place was amazing all round. The service, the food, the view - all outstanding. I think this is the best meal I have had to date and by far the best service. If I was a local this would be a treat I... More

My wife and I were in Vancouver and determined to make advance reservations at several restaurants near the Pacific Rim Hotel where we stayed. The Five Sails was one of the places and it did not disappoint. We were seated at a table for two by the window so we could view the inner harbor area. The waiter was gracious... More

After a once-in-a-lifetime transpacific cruise, my friend and I spent two nights at the Pan Pacific Hotel. I normally avoid hotel restaurants like the plague in favor of the best restaurants to be had in that city. Lo and behold, one of the best in Vancouver is right at our hotel. We enjoyed the prix-fixe menu with wines, and while... More
