Good tasting menu

I had the five course and my husband had the six course tasting menu, very good food and excellent presentation , but could be a bit smaller portion comparing to 'American style'.

This is one of Vancouver's finest. The location is to die for - great views of the harbour and the north shore mountains. I tend to use this restaurant for romantic dinners and have never been disappointed - have been here many times. The menu is great and the service is superb.

I chose to stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver primarily so that I could eat at this amazing restaurant again. I was eating alone and was greeted warmly by Gerry and immediately shown to a table by the window with amazing views over Coal Harbour.I enjoyed a spectacular sunset whilst perusing the different menus(prix fixe, tasting and a la... Incredible views across the Burrard Inlet to North Vancouver and Grouse mountain. A spectacular backdrop to a fine dining experience. Food and wines were excellent. Very good choice of wines from around the world and locally. Food presentation and delivery was first class in every way. Eating a wonderfully prepared dinner watching the Sun go down over the Lions Gate... More

We were running a bit late from traffic, but the staff were very accommodating. Seated perfectly at the window to enjoy the view we ordered. each course of the meal was perfect. Very flavourful. The main course was something you may find somewhere else, but the taste here was unique, which made it all the more better. Great food, great... More

By all means get the tasting menu and request a table overlooking the harbor/bay. The best meal we have had for several years. Perfectly prepared from first class ingredients. Professional service. so-so canadian wines, however, were served with the"wine flight"

We had the pleasure of dining at Five Sails during our recent stay at the Pan Pacific. It certainly lives up to it's ranking and reputation on TripAdvisor. Wonderful view, wonderful service and wonderful food! We hope to visit Vancouver again and if we do we'll call ahead for a table by the window at this gem....

Perfectly prepared cuisine in a classy but not pretentious dining room overlooking the harbor and served by knowledgeable waiters. At sunset, it's a romantic setting for dinner. I had the Catch ~ a delightful and sumptuous mix of lobster, scallops, and fish. My wife had halibut and was overwhelmed by its mouth-watering delicacy.

Every year my wife and I head off to Five Sails for our anniversary. Gerry Sayers ( owner and manager ) and husband Ernst Dorfler ( owner and chef ) create a most special experience. The views are unbelievable, the service exceptional, and the food is exquisite. The sommelier has never disappointed us with his recommendations. We are fortunate to visit... More
