Nice place

Visited the restaurant on business. The food was great and the ambience is wonderful. Can't think of anything that would stop me returning. Thanks folks, I enjoyed the evening.

We ate here on a Wednesday evening and both ordered the 3 course chef's choice fix menu with wine. The food (mushroom soup, braised short ribs and baked alaska) was all excellent, as was the accompanying wine with each course. The only "complaint" we had was we felt a little rushed. As soon as you had your last bite and... More

Took my son here for 21st birthday meal. Excellent and fully recommended. Friendly staff, great water view above Canada Place, modern European menu with lots of 'free' intermediate courses. Birthday cake. Total bill £155 for 3 people including drinks, starters, mains, dessert.

I had dinner at Five Sails on my first night in Vancouver. The food was really really amazing. The lobster bisque was out of this world. My main dish was fantastic too: catch of the day, a mix of lobster, white fish and scallops cooked in lemongrass and coconut broth, was so light and nice. Very good menu options for... More

Five Sails is our favourite restaurant in Vancouver. We've been going there for special occasions since the Pan Pacific Hotel opened in the mid 1980s. While we've enjoyed wonderful meals in many Vancouver restaurants, (& there are so many good ones to choose from), we always return to Five Sails for all the important occasions, because we know the seasonally... We travel to Whistler every year from the UK and whilst we love Whistler, we are not great fans of Vancouver. Even the Rosewood Georgia and Four Seasons Vancouver have failed to impress us and make us feel at home - yet we will keep doing one night stays here just to dine at the Five Sails. We found this... We went very early at 5.30 pm for opening and had a great table overlooking the water. Appreciated the view before it got too dark. Service was very efficient and the food was very good which often isn't the way when you have good views. Maybe a little old fashioned for some but we enjoyed the tasty food with such... More

I had a business dinner at Five Sails and it was a perfect place to meet. The food and the service were wonderful. The meal I had was one of the better ones I've had this year. The staff are courteous and very professional. I appreciated having a table by the window. The view over Vancouver Harbour at night was... More

I can not say enough about the fabulous food, wine, atmosphere, and service at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. Every app, was inventive, our main courses were mind blowing, the service was outstanding. When in a town surrounded by the sea, you want the very best seafood money can buy. Five Sails brings that salt water freshness right to your table in... More
