Beautiful view but go before it gets dark to really enjoy.

We went very early at 5.30 pm for opening and had a great table overlooking the water. Appreciated the view before it got too dark. Service was very efficient and the food was very good which often isn't the way when you have good views. Maybe a little old fashioned for some but we enjoyed the... read more

I had a business dinner at Five Sails and it was a perfect place to meet. The food and the service were wonderful. The meal I had was one of the better ones I've had this year. The staff are courteous and very professional. I appreciated having a table by the window. The view over Vancouver Harbour at night was... More

This is an excellent restaurant. Good food, wine and staff. It has a nice view and a good feel about it.

I can not say enough about the fabulous food, wine, atmosphere, and service at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. Every app, was inventive, our main courses were mind blowing, the service was outstanding. When in a town surrounded by the sea, you want the very best seafood money can buy. Five Sails brings that salt water freshness right to your table in... More

This was one of the best experiences I had in dineout this year. The offered an amuse bouche of celeriac soup with lobster foam which was amazing and a very welcome surprise. Something I loved about them was that they offered some of the most popular items in their menu for dineout. In particular, the chilled seafood sampler (lobster, octopus... More

I usually book Five Sails as my dine out every year, of course this year is not an exception. The food as usual is pretty good especially the DUCK this year. I enjoyed all the food in the dine out menu. However, the service is terrible. I would say this year their service really disappoint me. The lady that was... More

The location of this place affords its the luxury of panaromic view of the inlet, the park, and all that Bayshore area can provide. The meal was excellent. The fois gras was very well presented and taste the way it should. Both the fish and meat were excellently prepared. Definitely a place that we would return. The wine list is... More

Vancouver Dines Out 3 course tasting menu $38.00 ( not including wine) is a great opportunity to dine at this posh Downtown restaurant overlooking Vancouver and Bay. Cuisine was delicious, with a few choices within set memu. Duck confit was a generous portion and delicious. Reserve a table though as can be busy. Due to the Festival, the restaurant was... More

Restaurant was very busy being around the Christmas season, however service was excellent. Food was also very good in terms of quality, presentation and taste. The chef I am told is from Austria and has a good blend of European touch to the food.

This was the first of four Dine Out Vancouver reservations we have. The room was beautiful and so was the view. Unfortunately we were seated in the middle of the room, even though there were tables available by the window. We were all given a hot taster of lobster bisque. It was great. All four of us ordered the chilled... More
