Slow roasted lamb perfection

Fave place for slow roasted lamb. Marinated in spices then slow roasted for over four hours. Results in fall off the bone goodness. Ask for extra roasted carrots as they sop up the fabulous lamb broth and are addictive. Lemon rice and Greek salad sides will ensure that you will not leave hungry.

Stopped by for lunch and had to wait a bit to get seated, not because it was busy (almost empty), but because the waitperson didn't even know that I and several other diners were waiting inside to be seated. Maybe a bell at on the door to alert staff? Once I did get lunch the portion was very generous and... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and I'm glad we went. Service was good, portions were large, and everything was very tasty.

Having visited this restaurant based on the plethora of positive online reviews i am truly bewildered. If there was one positive from the evening dining experience it was the service. In that the waiter took the orders and brought the food and drink to the table without any mishaps or comedy blunders, so far so good. As for the food,... More

We have eaten here 4 to 5 times now and never been disappointed. Service is great and there are usually tables unlike several doors down at the also excellent Stephos.

The Chicken Lemon Rice soup was good but not hot enough. The mussels tasted already but, the chef should have noticed that I was served four unopened mussels. I sent them back to the kitchen, and it took a long time to get my replaced mussels. The supervisor in front of the house, a East Indian woman, was nice, and very... More

Food was OK but nothing remarkable; not sure it was particularly authentic for Greece! Potatoes and rice served together on the main dishes is not usual. The background music was Greek, intended to lend atmosphere; some bazouki instrumental music might have been nice, but the wailing vocal offering during the whole time we were in there was unpleasant.

Just on davie street, familiar ambience and extremely large portions. Food is not high-level, but you get more than what you pay. Seafood combo recommended.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighborhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
