Casual spot, Great food

Best Greek in Vancouver so far!! I love Greek food, and eat it often so I guess you could say I'm a bit of a snob about it. Takis Taverna has the traditional dishes that I love; ie: feta & olives, spanikopita which you can have as a dinner and lamb. I haven't been to Stephos so I cannot... read more

While on a recent stay in Vancouver, my family and I were looking for a place to eat in west end (Davie village). With 2 kids. I wanted to try something more unique. We happened upon The Greek By Taki Taverna, and liked the ambiance and energy. The food was fantastic, and our server was delightful. Even Takis stopped by... More

First of all we went to this restaurant because some guy in the bus told us he liked it so much, so we decided to go and see. We went in lunch time and they have some deals that at the beginning seemed quite attractive and we chose the 2 dips with greek salad or soup for 7.95 CAD. The... More

We always eat Greek food when we're on Robson street, and our old favorite (Kalypso) recently closed. We used trip advisor to locate a few options and narrowed it down to Takis or Stephos (on the same block), both a few blocks from Robson. A nice lady on the street told us we wouldn't regret Takis, so we went in.... More

We always return to Takis Taverna whenever in Vancouver and have never ever been disappointed! The ambience is warm and friendly, the staff are amazing, with the owners present and engaged all the time. The food is out of this world - the lamb shoulder (forget the proper Greek name) gets me every time, its unbelievable, and the saganaki is... More

We live a few blocks away and went here for lunch with friends. Staff was super, friendly, mentioned the specials, water came promptly and was refilled, made sure everything was good. She was excellent. Atmosphere fine, here for a visit with friends. Food was good, served hot, pita came for a snack, really enjoyed. Would absolutely go back.

My wife and I had a relatively late check-in at our hotel in Vancouver and wanted to get some dinner at a near-by restaurant. We walked on Davie street and came to this Greek restaurant. It was decorated in a typical Greek motif with blue and white walls and pictures of Greece. I had the salmon souvlaki and my wife... More

Our go to Greek restauarant on Davie Street in Vancouver's Westend. Been dining here for over 15 years. Not much has changed. Same decor, same good service, same large quantity plates, same good flavors and still reasonably priced. This visit we shared a Tzatziki with pita bread, two skewers of Chicken Slovakia and the Lamb Shank (Kleftiko). Both orders come... More

We had a great meal at Taki's Taverna. Food & service was very good. I had the seafood and it was delicious. We can highly recommend this place for a lovely greek meal.

Small little greek place. Ample portions, well priced and the staff was very friendly. A bit on the darker side so if the tables weren't so close together it might be considered semi-romantic.
