Great food, somewhat slow service

Very nice restaurant with great food. I had the halibut and it was everything you would expect from a fine dining experience. The only slight negative was that the service was a little slow. It seemed like we were always looking around for our waiter. First we were looking for him for drinks, then... read more

Francesco's was a disappointment for our big night out in Vancouver. The appetizers were good but the main courses were a disappointment. The lobster bisque was a brown base and had a burnt flavor. The veal saltimbocca was tough and dry. The ciopino was tasty but very skimpy for the price. Overall a disappointment, but service was good (there is... More

Went to the restaurant since it was near our hotel. Overall a nice atmosphere but a little noisy. Food was 4 star. Service was 2 star: waiter seemed to be in a hurry to serve larger parties in our area, played to the men and largely ignored the women. We were two couples.

Just finished having dinner, Sam and the entire team was amazing, the salmon dish was fantastic, same for the Burata, our mains was also delicious, will be coming again for a nice downtown treat.

This restaurant was a little on the expensive side, but the food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Our salads were good, I had the beet salad and my husband the house side. My husband had the sablefish and I had the lasagna - both outstanding! We split a dessert of three "mini" selections... I was invited to dine for a company dinner. There was a limited choice menu, but I was well satisfied with what I had. The veal piccata was excellent and tender and with the right Italian vinegar/olive oil taste. The tiramisu was good, however not exceptional. There was the typical Italian ambience (loud conversation) and the de rege

What an exceptional experience. Our waiter was witty, funny and very entertaining. The food presentation was beautiful and the taste was to die for. Two had veal, one pasta and one steak. All were extraordinary, as were the desserts. Will frequent here now. Miss this at your own expense, one of the best in Vancouver

This was our first dinner in Vancouver and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Upscale atmosphere, with white tablecloths, but not stuffy at all. We had a nice, relaxed dinner. Beef carpaccio appetizer was outstanding. Menu had lots of appealing options. My husband had halibut, which was a delicious and flaky(generous serving but expensive). I had prawns with angel hair pasta, which... More

We visited Francesco’s for dinner on 28 June 2015. We enjoyed the very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant, the food and the excellent service. Our dinner was one of the culinary highlights of our visit to Vancouver. Our appetizers were a Spinach & Strawberry salad with goat cheese and vinegrette dressing, and a Tuscan-style Minnestrone soup. Our main... More
