That was my third time, my family dinner experience was great, great food! Cosy place. Benji recommended best gluten free options for my son and he was professional and his service was fast! One of our favourite food is Smoked Eggplant, Chicken Tikka and Gingertini

Arrived in Vancouver with a craving for Indian food and because of the weather we chose a restaurant very close to our hotel. It was early for Vancouver but having just arrived from Toronto we were starving and the only patrons in the restaurant. They hadn't even fired up the tandoori oven yet. The hostess was lovely and attentive, answering... More

This modest cafe with a varied menu offers authentic, high quality Indian cuisine. We opted for the special, Dinner for 2, and were totally satisfied with the generous meal. The vegetable samosas tasted fresh and the aromatic butter chicken delighted our senses. Even the basmati rice was additionally flavoured -- and cooked to perfection. We took out, but the casual... The food is as authentic as you can get, and that is saying a lot as most of the patrons eating there when I was there were whites. This restaurant is as unpretentious as Vij's is pretentious. Awesome food. The samosas are also delicious and value-for-money.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
