The food is as authentic as you can get, and that is saying a lot as most of the patrons eating there when I was there were whites. This restaurant is as unpretentious as Vij's is pretentious. Awesome food. The samosas are also delicious and value-for-money.

It was worth a while to wait 30 minutes to get served, but they were really busy and the staff gave free papadums. As we saw the sizzler platter with garlic naan and smoked eggplant, we were sold! The mango lassi is so refreshing and filling. Great experience and we ll be back.

Definitely one of the best Indian restaurant in Downtown. Our friends were visiting from Manitoba so we thought to give it a try. Loved everything about decor. We ordered appetizers chicken tikka, lamb kebab, were mind blowing, rich of flavour and freshness. Their lamb biryani, methi lamb, coconut chicken, mango chicken, and assorted breads were absolutely delectable. Service was super... More

We have eaten in and had delivery from this place. Both times the food was pretty good with decent portions. We would happily go back when feeling like Indian food.

My husband and I are regulars at Ginger Garlic and we went in for lunch today. I ordered my usual Tandoori (fish this time) and he had the lamb curry. Both the curry and the tandoori had the most delicious complex flavours to them. At the end of the meal we had Kheer and spent a good long time attemptibg... More

Set in an old Wok Box location the decor is largely borrowed from its predecessor but the food is all its own. With a menu full of delicious, reasonably priced options this is my go-to for Indian food.

I recently went downtown and rented bikes to ride around English Bay when we returned our bikes we could smell an aroma of indian cuisine that smelled so appealing.  When we went in it looked very modern and clean we were served and  seated immediately.  We ordered an appetizer the fish pakora and it was delcious and so tender.  We... We try the sizzler chicken tikka and malai kofta with garlic naan. This was one of the best Indian food we had after a long time. Friendly service and very entertaining music videos. We ll be back
