Live next door to the place and the smell that comes through the front door as you walk past is incredible. Almost pulls you into the restaurant on a cloud of awesome. Never had a bad meal or experience. Friendly staff, warm feel of and indian restaurant and great food. As the title says best samosas they I've ever eaten.... More

I used this restaurant as was staying across the road at the Best Western and fancied something different for dinner. I used their take away service, on a quiet weekday evening at around 8pm. Pros: generous portions, good quality ingredients and reasonably tasty (you can choose from mild/medium/hot on the dishes) Cons: advised the food (only an order for 2... More

We ate here one night on our trip to Vancouver. We are somewhat new to Indian food so each person in our party ordered a different dish and we shared the items so that we could try the different tastes. All of them were extremely good. We finished every morsel that was ordered. The décor and staff of the restaurant... More

after reading some good reviews of this restaurant, we decides to give it a try. We ordered lamb vindaloo and chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. Then once the order had arrived there was no "loo" (potatoes) to be seen. also the server had given me the lamb and my partner the chicken. I specifically asked the waiter if the vindaloo... More

So disappointed that we wasted a meal and this restaurant. We chose in proximity and Urban Spoon reviews. Waited 40 minutes for our food after having waited 15 for someone to take our order. We had a surly, gum-smacking wait person. The food was mediocre at best, and the naan was of poor quality. I've never had wheat Roti, but... More

We mainly ate our way in Vancouver city and this was the only place that disappointed us! The problem may have been that we know Indian food very well. We wanted to have a picnic at the English bay beach and therefore thought we will try a' take out' from here. The Naan's was OK, the 'Chettinad chicken curry' was... More

I was at the Best Western across the street and since money was dwindling, I went in for the 2 veggie samosas for $3. They were SO good I went back again the next night. I was playing with the idea of going back on my last day there so I could get more but didn't think they'd be very... More

Second visit here and, once again, food was great. The pakora was tasty and our two main dishes fresh and very tasty. However, we were on a meter and service was really slow tonight-45 mins until we got our main course. However, we will return!

We were staying at the Best Western across the street and looking for a place to eat one evening. Since it was pouring and we didn't want to walk too far we decided to give Garlic Ginger a go, and were we ever glad that we did. Not a huge restaurant if you're going in for sit down food, but...
