We ordered the dine-out, 2 had duck consommé, 4 the short rib plate; and all had a variety of small tastings for dessert. The duck consommé was mostly water - tiny amount of shredded cabbage/carrot, with a strong gamey smell. The short rib was 2" x 2", mashed potato was hardly a teaspoon, and the veggies portion was small. The... More

Came for the Dine Out Menu. The presentation was good, but the food was not. The tuna tataki was fishy and you had to smear it with the sauce to cover the taste. My friend had the duck consomme which was just a small bowl of duck broth. The seafood bouillabaisse had a great sauce, but the fish was overdone... More

I got to the Cafe Pacifica alone a few minutes before 10 a.m. on a Sunday and was told that the buffet was being extended for another half hour. Unfortunately, no one pointed out the hot items to me and in my brief survey I saw only the tired, nearly depleted cold items and the empty cake stands on the... More

We appreciate this guest taking the time to post their review regarding their recent experience. It was disappointing to read of this guests dissatisfaction and our Café Manager is contacting the guest directly. We take pride in providing a first class dining experience and appreciate guest feedback as this confirms our successes and, when we do not meet our guests'... More

We booked our table for 5 a month ago and we arrived 15min late due to traffic in downtown on a Friday night. The restaurant was quite busy and understaff with only 2-3 waiter/waitress serving over 20 tables. Our waitress was Natyra and she was on her feet running around. She was amazingly patient with us being a bit inpatient... More

We had bought a Groupon for a 3-course meal for 2. When we arrived on a Monday night, there were clearly a number of tables there for the same reason. There were 3 choices for each course, with 2 for dessert. There were also wines suggested for each course. We decided to share a glass of wine with the first... More

Excellent selection offered. Reasonably priced. Fantastic view of the harbour. Wonderful staff. The Eggs Benedict were delicious. We especially enjoyed the silver dollar pancakes and the fruit bar.

I had the breakfast buffet here each morning of my stay and enjoyed the morning dining experience. On Sundays, they take up the breakfast buffet mid-morning and convert to a larger Brunch buffet. The service here from the wait staff was pretty good. From the restaurant, you can look out onto the patio terrace, and to the cruise ship terminal... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
