Great food and service

My wife and I had dinner at Brix our last night in Vancouver. She had the market fish and I had chopping block (Duck). Both were fantastic. We finished off with desert. The staff were friendly and the service was terrific.

My husband & I enjoyed dinner at Brix while we were vacationing in Vancouver in July 2015. We were very pleased from start to finish. We arrived a few minutes prior to our Open Table reservation (5:30 on a Monday night), & our table in the courtyard was ready for us upon arrival. We were seated in a great location... More

A restaurant with a very Art Deco charm does everything right, from greeting you at the door to sending you off with an extremely well sated palate. The mussels were cooked in a white wine sauce with bits of spicy pork thrown in for just the right amount of flavor. My starved belly wolfed down every little bit and was... More

We went to Brix for an anniversary dinner. When the Maitress d' found out, she held us back a bit with prosecco at the bar to turnover a lovely window table. This was kind and thoughtful, but also gave us time to visit with Steve, the bartender. In the course of conversation with him, he mentioned his special, refreshing, gin... More

We could not have been more pleased with our meal. The service was outstanding; the meal was one of the best we've had in Vancouver. The setting was handsome. It is also slightly off the beaten track - in a good way - but still quite convenient to downtown. Plus quite reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend.

I will try to fill this review with information that you can't find online for those considering hosting a wedding at Brix. We hosted a wedding at Brix in July 2015 for ~80 people. Brix really seemed like the perfect wedding venue. First, we planned our event from a different city and the management team at Brix made it a... More

We've visited this fine restaurant on Homer Street 3 or 4 times in the past, most recently in May 2014 with out-of-town guests for a small and convivial birthday celebration. From beginning to end, the service and food were impeccable and second-to-none respectively.

Good restaurant, seemed to be Italian inspired. I had the pacific BC salmon in a red sauce with some mussels and it was excellent. For a wine bar the wine selection was just average in my eyes. Prices were not outrageous. They had a nice patio seating area, but it was too hot when we went to sit out there... More

Ordinary food and service. Much better options available in Yaletown. Went for dinner with a group of 4. One of us requested a grilled salmon priced at $29..she asked to avoid black pepper and was told that the only alternative was to have fried fish because "the grill had pepper". First grade pricing for third grade service and food. Better... More

Thanks very much for taking the time to give us feedback. Allergies and food intolerances are things that we have to take very seriously. We receive special requests relating to these issues multiple times every evening. We have even had specialized training done for our service staff with regard to handling allergies both proactively and reactively. If someone is allergic... More

First of all just order the Humboldt Squid for starters. It. Is. Brilliant. Excellent service and great food is key words when reviewing Brix. I'm no expert on wine and if the same goes for you Brix got you covered. They make their own suggestions as to what kind of wine (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, etc.) goes well with the dish... More
