Fantastic West Coast Food - no view

If you want great food and excellent service with white table linens then this is the place - located on a trendy residential street there are a lot of things to see in the area but the restaurant doesn't have a view. A great place for a romantic dinner.

We live in the area and had been saving Bishop's for a special occasion (and also it has been fully booked on the last 2 times we tried to dine there spontaneously). While the service was excellent, the food was disappointing. The fresh baked bread was delicious, but our appetizers, entrees and desserts were all somewhat bland, and in the... More

With the boss in town from Chicago (and he loves a good meal) I wanted to take him to a place where I knew he would be impressed, but low key and delicious. Bishop's is the place. He arrived early and was working on an enjoyable cocktail. Some of the best service... attentive but not lurking. Gracious and knowledgeable. We... More

Every restaurant is not for everyone, and this was not for me. Don't get me wrong, then staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful, went out of there way to make the dinning experience first rate. For me personally the food was okay, I think they try to hard to be different. I started with the local oysters with house make hot... More

To begin, the service was great; very professional staff; food quality was excellent as well as the wine list. Waiter brought us appetizers

we have been with large parties and also just ourselves. The food has never disappointed. I usually order the chef's special-always mouthwatering. Save room for dessert.

Bishops cache has exceeded its quality. I have eaten at several of Vancouver's equally priced entrée restaurants and Bishops was sub par. I think if the entree's were in the $15-$20 range it would have rated as good but not at $30-$35. Upon arriving we waited for a while and then had to eventually ask a waiter to take our... More

Simply a delightful, relaxed, wonderful dinner in a beautiful setting surrounded by fascinating art. We haven't experienced such tasteful and professional service for years. And then the food is incredible. Every dish was perfect, plating was beautiful and the serving sizes were just right. We had the lamb and fish, but the menu changes so frequently that it doesn't make... More

Bishop's it is a very nice and cosy restaurant, a bit on the romantic side, a bit far from the center, staff are very nice, food is inventive and wine list that is more then adequate.

Bishop's defines understated. Regional and seasonal foods shape the menu, and the wine list is just superb. If you know your stuff, the "Bin Ends" offer some great deals. If you like your waiter to refer to themselves as "I'm Chad, and I'll be your server for tonight" then this is probably not the place for you. The service is... More
