Maybe they're not trying as hard, anymore?

Bishop's rides on the reputation reflected in some of these reviews: "guaranteed A+ food and service;" "as good as there is. . ." Expensive, but worth it. And I have no doubt that this reputation has been well-earned. Whether it's still being earned, consistently, night by night, is perhaps... read more

Bishop's rides on the reputation reflected in some of these reviews: "guaranteed A+ food and service;" "as good as there is. . ." Expensive, but worth it. And I have no doubt that this reputation has been well-earned. Whether it's still being earned, consistently, night by night, is perhaps another question. I had a fantastic dinner at Bishop's. I have heard good things how great of a restaurant it is for years and it did not disappoint. Definitely a place to go to celebrate a special occasion or just because. First of all the service was excellent. The food was superb. Besides the prawn appetizer I tried their daily special of... Apart from the fact that the place is crazy crowded there was nothing that we did not like at the place. Right from the food to the service was good. The flavors were right and the portions were appropriate to leave you filled and then the coffee was strong and good too.

We took our friends to Bishops as they had never been and had heard good things about it. The meal and service did not disappoint, everything was excellent. The restaurant was very busy and our friend is hard of hearing so struggled with the level of noise.

Resturants that I have been to in Vancouver. Food was delicious staff were excellent and even Mr. Bishop was also there as well. I had the special which was veal, I've never had veal before it was the most delicious dish I've ever eaten. My husband had the lamb, he said it was the best lamb dish he's ever eaten,... More

We hadn't visited Bishops for a year and this time when we came to Vancouver we had to make it our first stop. It was so good last time. The staff are sooo friendly. So professional, and expert at what they do. The owner is there to keep things moving like clockwork. The Halibut meal and the Lamb meal were... More

My husband and I put research into the restaurants we want to visit before we arrive in a city as it is our hope to have exceptional food and service. We changed out one of our original Vancouver picks for Bishop's but I wish we would have gone with our other choice. Our experience at Bishop's wasn't bad but neither... More

My husband has been suggesting this restaurant for years and I've looked at the menu a few times and just wasn't too sure. We've eaten at some of the best restaurants Vancouver has to offer such as Hawksworth and Blue Water Cafe that are absolutely fantastic but I must say - after dining at Bishops - they went above and... Quaint French restaurant just outside of downtown area. If you are staying downtown, you will likely need a cab that costs less than $15CAD, including tip. Reservations are suggested in part due to limited hours, seating, and popularity. The food here was great and the atmosphere simple and comfortable. The staff was very warm and friendly, and all were knowledgable... More
