Love the food, atmosphere, and prices. We made our Reservation through open table and our every request was honored. Great place but took time trying to find a parking spot until a car in front of restaurant left (how lucky).

My husband and I walked into Bishop's based on a web search. It was the best meal we had during a four day stay in Vancouver, and one of the best fairly simple meals I have ever had. (I have lived in and eaten well in both NYC and LA.) The octopus carpaccio was tender and seasoned with just the... More

Had dinner here in July with my wife for our anniversary. The reputation of a fine dining, good service, local eatery is justified. I've eaten here years ago and the quality of food and service has been maintained. John Bishop is a gracious host and the service team is very well versed in what the kitchen is offering. Wife had... Since I arrived in Vancouver 24 years ago, Bishop's has had the reputation of one of its best restaurants. Having been there again recently, I am happy to report that it still lives up to its reputation, and perhaps has gotten better. The competition in fine dining here is simply fierce, so no restaurant can survive without being great .... More

We went here to celebrate a birthday and experienced a wonderful meal and excellent service! With a varied and sophisticated menu, Bishop was a treat from start to finish.

My husband and I just had one of our best meals ever in this Vancouver gem. We loved everything about it...the cozy and friendly ambience, the lovely service, and the sublime food. It may not be for the young, hip crowd, but for those who appreciate special traditional touches (REAL candles, white linens, fresh flowers, etched.) and perfectly-prepared, unpretentious food,... This was a nice restaurant. We had a good meal with very understated, efficient staff. It offers quality ingredients & charges a premium price for them. It wasn't perfect but it was for the most part very good. My Tuna appetizer was very tasty & well prepared. I had the pork special for my entree & actually found it a... More

A rather average "store front" facade hides one of Vancouver's true restaurant gems. Pleasant atmosphere and interior. Exceptional haute cuisine. Beautiful designer food with great taste (lobster ravioli, tuna tartar, elk,..). Impeccable service.

As it is a small restaurant, I was delighted that when I called from Australia that I was able to make a booking for seven for the last night of my holiday. Finally after many years of making Bishop's crab cakes I was finally able to enjoy the restaurant. We started with plates of oysters and made our way through... More

A long drive from downtown should not detour you from visiting a fab restaurant serving classic dishes in a refined, but relaxed manner. Good choices, excellent wine list, great cocktails combined with seamless service makes this rival San Francisco and NYC eateries. And it is so quiet, what a relief from the trend to loudness in fine dining. Don't miss... More
