Still a great spot with great service from Fiona/owner, bartender/Doug and other wait staff. Check out the summer menu - the watermelon prawn salad appetizer, for example, is perfect summer treat. Grab a seat at the front window and people watch the world go by or grab a seat the bar. Enjoy!

My wife and I were going to meet friends in Stanley Park and had some time to kill and were hungry. Walked into another sandwich shop and walked out -- so glad we did! We found the Buckstop and it was perfect! Great pork sandwiches and really great drinks. We got a seat on the stools looking out the front... More

I had a lovely meal here with my girlfriend. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic about their food. I had the venison burger and she had the pork ribs both were delicious. The restaurant offers discounted drinks on certain nights so that's worth looking out for. If you fancy something different to Asian or Italian food this would be... More

My husband and I came across this place while wandering around after dinner one night. While we didn't eat here the atmosphere and staff made it feel like the perfect combination of trendy new spot and classic old joint. We got chatting with the owner and she even provided a list of "must-eat" places during our stay in Vancouver. Definitely... More

It's too bad, kitchen team must be off today. Arrived for breakfast at 10:30am and the cafe was super hot. Staff finally were able to cool the place down. We were warned by the waiter it is ridiculous inside. Had been before and the brunch was awesome, but this time totally off the Mark. I had the smoked brisket breakfast... More

Bad chops, which have been reheated. A disgusting taste of the meat. Too bad for Vancouver. Anyway, waitress was nice.

Having travelled to over 40 countries and lived in 4.. Buckstop is by far the coolest in Vancouver ( I personally find Van pretty bland and predictble) Fiona the bartender is super skilled and cares ao much about her customers..

We enjoy this addition to the Denman St restaurant /bar scene. Scallops wrapped in brisket (yes, not bacon) are a signature dish. Typically it is very good. Of the numerous times I have had the dish only once was the brisket a little gristly. Burgers are good here as is the salad. The little Mac & Cheese with chorizo or... More

I think I died and went to deep fried heaven when I saw hush puppies on the menu. Those delicious nuggets of greasy goodness, served with a creamed honey butter (though I prefer with ketchup like my Mamaw used to serve). And you must try one of Fiona's drink concoctions... I had an amazing ginger infused something or other... Drink... More

We were only diners at 6:00 on a Saturday. Waited 30 minutes for food. I had pork ribs, partner had mixed sampler. Hers was uniformly cold, mine very average. Sangria, cole slaw good but not worth the price or the wait. High hopes dashed.
