You need to eat here!

Gem of a restaurant in Yaletown! Knowledgable and friendly staff. Wonderful menu, including fresh seafood. Best meal of our Vancouver trip!

We were in town for the world cup and for some reason we didn't get around to eating until midnight that night. Not many places were still serving dinner except for The Keg, but we didn't want to do the chain thing. It was kind of our last resort but turned out to be a great choice. We had to... More

Family dinner 4 kids two adults. The host was awesome! He accommodated our group on a busy night during the World Cup. He offered to have the kitchen make the kids special meals. There is no kids menu fyi. Calamari was amazing! Scallops were good, sable fish a little small, halibut was good. No draft beers which stinks. They have... More

On our last day visiting Vancouver, we wanted a casual restaurant with a quiet atmosphere that wasn't expensive. So we decided to walk from the Hampton Inn over to Mainland St where there are quite a few restaurants/bars. As we began our leisurley walk, stopping to look at menus along the walkway, we previewed the menu at West Oak. Kennedy,... More

Drifted to Mainland Street on our first night in Vancouver, walked down the sidewalk reading menus for the many restaurants in this hopping stretch of converted warehouses, and circled back to West Oak. Wanted something light, so we ordered salads - one panzanella, one mixed greens, both topped with grilled salmon. Those were excellent choices. The salads were fresh, nicely... More

It's a Hollywood hangout, so there's quite the scene going on at all times, yet it's not pretentious. Solid wine list, great service and good menu - recommend the Chinois Prawns. Fun place to settle in for the night and people-watch.

This spot is well worth visiting. We had a great dinner with excellent food. The seafood chowder was great, as was the other dishes. The burrata with prosciutto was so good.

We find ourselves at West Oak once or twice per month when we're in town. It has reliably great food and is a "happening" place during the evening. The room is classy, unpretentious and comfortable. Expect music loud enough to create an upbeat atmosphere but not so loud as to hamper conversation. The chefs under exec Tim are impressively creative.... More

I came here for a staff party of 13 people. Our server was friendly, attentive and competent. Some servers become overwhelmed or confused, but he knew exactly what he was doing. They gave us all enough time with the menu to decide on our meal, and the different courses came out at appropriate intervals. I had the Vancouver Island mussels... More

We went for dinner late on Easter Monday so not many people in but it has a chilled out atmosphere and our waitress was lovely. I had the shrimps to start which were out of this world, flavour and texture superb. My son had the Spaghetti Bolognese which had a fiery twist to it. Also they do triple fried chips... More
