Place looks great but food was uninspired and dull. The couple next to had a platter that looked like it had four lumps of baby food. To be avoided.
We went for restaurant week in 2013 in Vancouver. We enjoyed the diversity of food choices of differing ethnicities. The prep was nicely done. The food was presented creatively. The taste was great. Out of the way location at the end of Denman street right on coal harbor.
If you are looking for a change from the traditional Italian, Chinese, French or North American foods this is the place to be. The Moroccan spices make the difference. Nothing overdone and everyone in our group enjoyed the food. No wow factor but the location and service makes this a restaurant that you should at least try out, we weren't... More
we discovered Sol on a walk along the waterfront to Stanley Park. It was a bit early for lunch, but we asked if they were open as the specials board was out at 11:30, and we were assured that they were indeed open We were seated in the outside area, and our order was taken promptly. Drinks were brought and... More
We ordered one main course each but after 40 minutes nothing had turned up so we said to the waiter we had to leave soon. He promised that the food would be with us in 10 minutes. We said, does he guarantee it as we had to go to another appointment. He said, yes - for sure within 10 minutes.... More
I've recently noticed this spot - just steps beyond the Westin Bayshore where the Seawall joins Stanley Park (reminded though of an earlier & apparently unsuccessful endeavour here that shut its doors before I ever tried it out.) Not exactly the usual choices given all the tempting Moroccan flavours on the menu, but in a somewhat unadventurous mood this I... More
A great find. Beatiful location right beside Stanley Park. The service was outstanding - maybe because it was a Monday night but to have both the chef and owner stop by our table to ask us how we were enjoying our evening doesn't happen often. The food was spectacular and well-presented. Would highly recommend the drumettes with harissa sauce. They... More
This restaurant is a great find. The location is fantastic whether you sit inside or on the patio. The food is extremely tasty and the servers and host are extremely attentive. I would highly recommend the duck duo entrée. Can wait to head back soon!
...a view, the dock, an incredible "after dinner walk" to see a "side of Vancouver" that is truly amazing... The mussel "appy" was a MEAL and excellent, the halibut very good and "substantial", the only disappointment was the pork chop. Dessert was "unchartered territory", incredible "doughnuts" with chocolate dipping sauce, "mousse" cheese cake, wow... Service was excellent, can't wait to... More
we were staying at the westin bayshore so I popped over here for a light dinner last week. it's situated on the seawall just around the corner from the hotel. I had a spot just inside the door, facing the harbour, and the sun shone in on me through the glass front door, a perfect spot to sit. I had... More
