for about a week I had tried to phone this establishment to book a reservation only to be continually greeted by voice mail stating that their mail box was full. today (Saturday, 26 April) I attended the Sol Sun Belt Cookery promptly at 5 PM hoping to snag a table without reservations. finally after waiting for 20 minutes I resigned... We purchased a $79 Groupon for this restaurant in early March. I called right away to make a reservation. There was no answer at the restaurant, so I went to their website to make a reservation. I was redirected to Reservation Genie and completed the reservation process for dinner a week later. The day our dinner date arrived, I received... More

Sol Sun serves a lot of Mediterranean food. It is tasty and pretty healthy. The location is next to the water and a walking path that goes by lots of other restaurants and boats.

This restaurant has it all - Interesting Food - Amazing Ambiance - Wonderful Service- Great Views. We shared four tapas, four mains and four desserts. The spicing of each dish was complex and by sharing everything we experienced a perfect selection of different flavors. The presentation of each and every dish was well thought out. The service was excellent. I... More

My boyfriend and I came here after getting a groupon to try the place out. The location is amazing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated too. The place was completely empty for dinner service (8pm). The menu does not have a lot of selection and half of the stuff we ordered they didn't have. Which was really disappointing. We waited FOREVER... More

Went because of a groupon voucher. I liked the starter and main selection and really enjoyed the duck. I don't think i would have gone without the voucher. It is a bit expensive for the small portion size. Dessert wasn't great. I LOVE bread pudding but this was dense and cold. So disappointing.

We were part of a party of 10 dinning at Sol on Valentine day 2014. The waiter was very loud and rood. The menue was very limited in all aspect. The portion was very small for the price. To add some salt to injury, we have to pay 17.5% service charge for a poor service. We will never go back... More

A great location overlooking the marina near the Westin Hotel. The menu is limited, but a good cross section of options from seafoods to meats and vegan options as well. Plating is done as an art - very nicely done. We had the squid steak and chicken bastilla as starters. The presentation was beautifully done. The squid was served with... More

Place looks great but food was uninspired and dull. The couple next to had a platter that looked like it had four lumps of baby food. To be avoided.

We went for restaurant week in 2013 in Vancouver. We enjoyed the diversity of food choices of differing ethnicities. The prep was nicely done. The food was presented creatively. The taste was great. Out of the way location at the end of Denman street right on coal harbor.
