Great atmosphere and food!

We arrived for happy hour which started at 3pm and had a dozen buck-a-shuck Joyce Point oysters; delicious. We also split a Muffaleta sandwich, very tasty. The ceaser was also delicious but pricey (10.50). We sat outside which was nice, inside looked nice too, without being pretentious. The... read more

I thought this would be quite a walk from the Westin Bayshore where we were attending a conference, but it was a relaxing and easy walk and romantic along the sea wall. Get there early for Happy Hour--the crab cakes are amazing! I had the Arctic Char, catch of the day, and it was delicious, placed on top of a... More

Loved the vibe here. The food was so delicious. I had the chicken soaked in butter milk - to die for, and my husband had the beef brisket which he loved! Service was great too.

We went for brunch. One of our party can't eat dairy or gluten, and the kitchen was scrupulous and accommodating. They even realized butter is dairy (you'd be surprised) and didn't let her have the fried potatoes. Which were yummy, by the way! She had the po'boy sandwich without the bread- looked like a regular eggs brunch on her plate,... More

I wasn't aware until the day of our reservation, but our family realized that Chewies has an amazing happy hour! Between 4-6, they have $1 west coast oysters and on the day we visited they had $2 Kumamoto oysters. Omg. The oysters were so good. They also have many 1/2 priced appetizers and discounted drinks! We started during happy hour... More

Vancouver offers fabulous dining but this establishment wasn't the spot to find it for us. Although our waiter Kevin was warm, helpful with the choice of local beers and very efficient in serving, the food just didn't measure up to the billing. The fried oysters were over-done, over-battered and under-par in size. The grits were the most coarsely-ground and tasteless... More

We came for early dinner for 7. Sat on the patio. Could have done with some fans as it was very warm. Service was good. We had A few different waiters before Eric took over. I would say the oysters were the best things on the menu. The other dishes we ordered were mediocre. Drinks were not that good either... More

we were looking for dinner Friday night without a reservation and in like big cities it was difficult in Vancouver, but while walking the beautiful streets of the city we came upon Chewies in a large office building going thru renovations. There was no wait which was a good thing and we were able sit outside which was also a... More

I really don't have anything bad to say about this place. The meal was good. I enjoyed the cajun twist that our food had. Server was helpful and friendly. Give this place a shot!

We've been here four times now...I love the vibe of the patio, and there are some very warm people that work here...there are also some that are condescending and rude...which unfortunately put us off again. The first two times we came here were great; the next two, not so good. The last time we had a rude server, but to... More
