The Cannele are sooo good, I would take a little more rhum saveur… Charlotte was also delectable. Crepes were good except for salad over apple/Brie one, my taste buds were confused. Twist on a french dish. Most pastries were very Paris up to date. I found the staff did not share their enthusiasm of food with you. "I would recommend... More

After reading all the 5-star reviews I think our expectations were too high. Although the macarons we purchased were very good, the selection was much more limited. Our helper insisted that this was the "normal selection" but the enclosed flavor decoder sheet showed at least 2-3 times more flavors than available. That said, the macarons we did choose were very... More

Our friends recommended us to try this cafe. It was easy to find. The croissants were exactly as we remembered from our time in Paris. Perfect!! Coffee was excellent as well.

Familiar with the shop from their participation at local outdoor markets, I decided to order a cake for a party. Superb. Gorgeous. Delicious. Guests raved. Will be back.

I bought pastries here in large quantity for an event, and was so impressed. They are superb. The service is good, the prices are acceptable, and they are organized and professional. The pastries are top notch. Esp. the caneles. They don't look like anything particularly special, but my oh my, they are.

Recommended by hotel staff, I visited this gem and became a repeat customer during my week in France, er Vancouver. Their eclair's aux chocolate, tartelettes, and mousse are wonderful. The real thing, and freshly made, and the staff we're very friendly too. First rate.

I just came for the macarons and the caneles. I was visiting Vancouver for the first time and made a side trip to the French Made Baking before driving in to my hotel. I bought 3 macarons (chocolate, hazelnut & pistachio) and a couple of caneles. The macarons were great. It is so hard to find caneles - you cant... More

Melt in your mouth macarons and lovely croissants. Coffee is perfect. Bistro style seating. Located on Kingsway just north of Kingsgate Mall.

I've been wanting to try French Made Baking for the longest time and I finally had the pleasure to do so. Expectations were high and fully met! I even emailed the owner before to ask about gluten free cakes and they responded quickly and provided all the details I needed. Super nice owners and provided a lot of different options.... More

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
