Interesting,healthy options!

If you want to try something a little different Nuba is a great little place. There are a couple of location options and their menu changes from time to time but the food is a healthy, fresh mix of veggies, grains, spices, etc. The staff are helpful, friendly and attentive. My husband and I recently dined at Cafe Nuba in Mount Pleasant for dinner and were really impressed with the experience. Our server Laura L was outstanding and the food was delicious. They had a cabbage roll feature dish that was suggested to us, it was so good! All the other dishes were very good too. I recommend the crispy... More

We recently went to this restaurant and ordered Le grand feast which was large enough to feed 3-4 people (but states it's for 2). The food was great! The one thing I found weird was that they incorrectly brought us a dish which we started to eat and our waitress came out and told us of the error and that... More

I'm usually guilty of ordering najibs special (cauliflower) and lamb hushwie. But today we ordered the specials - market fish and man'oushe (flatbread) This is going to be my new recommendation for friends!

I was excited to visit this new Lebanese place in our neighbourhood. It was a terrible disappointment! I love food from this part of the world, but the dishes served here were sterile and bland and boring! Shish Tawook (chicken skewers) looked like they came out of a nasty diner. The tabouli was decent. Falafels looked tiny and very sad... More

We went here with family. It has a fairly basic, cafeteria look to it when you first enter, but that is quickly dispelled by the warm greeting you receive. There were five of us, so we had to wait a while - not too long, and tables were quickly arranged, and rearranged to fit us in comfortably. They have a... More

I recently enjoyed dinner here with friends on a Saturday night. This location is small and casual which I personally love. No reservations so you may want to get there a bit early, it's a busy place. The food is yummy and there are lots of vegetarian options. Service was friendly and the prices are great. I will definitely eat... More

We heard fabulous things about Nuba, and had just returned from London where we had reasonably priced, fabulous Lebanese food in Kensington. Maybe our expectations were too high. Usually baklava is dripping in honey. But I wouldn't have thought we were served baklava except the waitress told us it was. We shared plates with friends, and were generally happy: chicken... More

Have been to this Nuba 3 times now, for lunch. The location is much better than Seymour for parking (also close to Skytrain/bus), and the Waldorf location isn't open for lunch, so this is the default. It's quite busy at peak times, but there is fairly fast turnover so today we didn't have to wait for a table. It clears... More
