We were craving Asian food but didn't really feel like Thai, Indian, Japanese or Chinese. So, based on positive reviews, we decided to check out Penang Delight's West 73rd Ave location. It was really busy, which surprised us since it is off the beaten path in a residential neighbourhood near the base of pretty much the only business tower in... More

We first tried the Rupert location and we absolutely loved it. Then a friend suggested that we try this location. The dining experience was as good as the other location and the service was also as friendly. The chicken dishes are amazing here, juicy and flavourful. Most items are tasty and the price is reasonable. This place is very popular... More

Blink and you'll miss this place, located in a small mini-mall at Hudson & 73rd near the Arthur Laing Bridge. Penang was busy on a Thursday night so reservations are recommended. Despite raves and recommendations from friends, my meal was disappointing. The Hainanese Chicken ($14.95), a traditional South-Asian dish was bland and dry. Although the portion is large there was... Tucked in a quiet nook under the Arthur Laing bridge, the 2nd location of Penang cafe in marpole was a delight. Taste is much better than their big competitor, price at first seem better than the said competitor. Alas the portions are small. Ate there thrice already. Kangkong is a must, most everything is really good. Hainanese chicken was disappointingly... More

We wanted to give this company a second shot as the first experience at their other establishment was disappointing. After lunch my companion stated that he did not think that the chef was from Penang or that their spices were ground in house. The dishes that we ordered are ubiquitious; on every SE Asian restaurant menu at the Tropika, Banana... More

We went to Penang for lunch. One of the 2 servers recommended shrimp cake, beef satay, Rendang beef, Laksa chicken. We find portion is a bit small. Rendang is very tasty. Laksa is nothing to write about. Shrimp cake is a disaster, it taste like fried dough and it is greasy. I find service to be excellent.

When we arrived, we only saw a few people in the restaurant, and were a bit hesitant but we did receive a recommendation from someone to try it. We were pleasantly surprised...the food was really tasty, and brought to the table hot. For the three of us, we ordered two appetizers and 4 other dishes, and by the end of... More

Can't go wrong to keep coming back to this little Malaysian Cafe. Very good , authentic and dishes are of reasonable prices. Place is small and yet it feels comfy. Reservations is a must if you come in group. Busy esp at rush hours. Washroom is kept clean as well. Staffs are friendly but only turn off is sometimes they... More

The food and service were spectacular! Every two minutes managers cruise by looking for any details that may require attention!!

At best, they serve watered down Malaysian food. Some expensive items are actually Chinese cuisine masked with some Malaysia flavour. Service is ok but the owner is too sleek for his own good. In my last visit I ordered Rojak (a typical apppetizer item and listed as such on the menu) and other main dishes. However, after finishing almost all... More
