Offering authentic Mexican tacos in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. We make our tacos from traditional recipes with local, organic and sustainable products, when possible. Our menu offers different types of fillings which can be served as a Taco (soft tortilla, made locally) or as a Quesadilla.La Taqueria is born in 2009, through the idea of creating a pinche taco stand, which resemble the taste and feel of street tacos around Mexico. These tacos are usually the best and are often referred to as pinche tacos. Both locations are open 11am to 8:30pm Monday to Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Nice Light Lunch

Try the vegetarian choices. They are delicious. I'm sure the rest are too but I'm very fond of the cream corn taco.

Holy smokes, I cannot say enough positive about La Taqueria. We have eaten here MANY times. We always order a mix of tacos and share. The service is always quick and friendly, have yet to try any taco I didn't like there, and the beer is cold!

Their food is better than most of what I ate in Mexico. Love stopping by here--never a bad meal. The only downside is both locations are super busy and it's hard to get a spot.

This is as close to real Mex as I've had in Vancouver. We tried every taco on the menu: carnitas, cachete, carne asada, lengua, etc etc and even the vegetarian tacos. All are presented on 3" soft corn tortillas and are only a couple of bites each, but with the hot salsa and the Yucatan-style pickled red onions, they all... More

Perfect flavour, perfect size. If you want a quick bite to eat, this is definitely a go to place during non-busy hours. At lunch, be prepared to wait your turn to get at the tacos. Loved the Asada, Carnitas, and Tingo Polo. The Lengua isn't bad either. Double tortillas prevents all the goodness from soaking through. Best to eat inhouse... More

I absolutely loved this place. Being Mexican it is always nice to see an authentic place. I recommend the barbacoa and yes, it is supposed to be greasy. The horchata was also very good.

I read the reviews and was expecting something special.... Well I was in for a big disappointment. I ordered the chocolate chicken, fish, beef tongue and another beef tacos (quite small dish an expensive for what you get) and they were the most tasteless tacos I have ever tasted in my life.was left with a horrible after taste in my... This is definitely a place for quick eating. There are only a few tables and generally a very long queue outside! The queue helped me as it gave me time to decide what to have. We ended up getting a selection of 8 tacos - less than 20 dollars in total. I definitely recommend the pork "Al Pastor" and the... More

We saw amazing reviews on this place and had to check it out. Let me start by saying "AH-MAZE-ING" we walked in and were greeted by the super friendly guy behind the counter. I guess he could tell we have never been so he suggested we get the 4 taco for 9.50. Now normally that's way too much food but... More

It seems like every flavour combination on top of their corn tortillas are spot on. They offer both meat and vegetarian options. Can't beat 4 fresh and flavourful tacos for 10 bucks. Would recommend the pollo mole and pescado. Pile on some pickled cabbage and peppers and you're good to go! Not only is the food amazing, but the staff... More
