Delicious take on dynamite roll!

We went for lunch and enjoyed very much. Service was really good and the food tasted great. The location was very convenient for us too.

And just when I thought I've eaten tamago everywhere, or the best toro sashimi: this is now my go to place. Made in-house of course, as you can see the layers in the pic. Nice and plump. Which leads to the good fish: perfect temperature, not those freezing cold ones you taste at those Korean/chinese-operated sushi places, lol. And even... More

I'm from Toronto, great sushi there, but sushi in Vancouver is on another level. I stumbled upon this place, and honestly, best I ever had. Try their version of spicy tuna called 'diablo' and the roll called 'big bang'. It has lemon in it, tuna, avocado, and tempura flakes. So yummy! Would return in s heartbeat! Place is small, outdated... More

I had the Mako roll which was loaded with salmon...one of the best things I've ever tasted. The quality is very high and super fresh. Small and friendly...do not miss!

Fantastic sushi - best in vancouver imo. A fairly plain venue - go for the food. Top quality tuna sashimi. Never had anything i didn't like.

I've eaten at a wide variety of sushi places in Vancouver and elsewhere and I always keep returning to Tom to get an excellent selection of high quality sushi. He only orders and buys the freshest of fish so they may not have exactly what you are looking for if it's out of season, which is a good thing! Try... More

It's a little hole in the wall but straight away you know it's the real deal. Attentive staff take the time to explain what's on your plate which somehow makes it taste even better! Be adventurous and try fish you haven't had before, I can recommend the butterfish nigiri it's amazing

The pieces of fish are beautiful and flavourful - I always go for the wild salmon when stopping by sushi shops during my travels and let me say Kaide's Wild Salmon is unbelievable. The service is excellent as well - people are very nice and cheerful rain or shine. I was really impressed when I accidentally sent my napkin off... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
