We showed up at prime time on a Saturday night and the host was very friendly and welcoming. We were asked if we would mind sitting at the bar, as they could get us in right away in that case. We sat at the bar and it was very comfortable and kind of nice to sit side by side. The... More

Where do I start.... The seasonal beer was super good. My wife and wanted to try everything so we got all appetizers for dinner. We ate this Caesar Salad, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Andrew’s Pulled Pork Poutine, Lobster And Prawn Risotto, and Jumbo Shortrib Macaroni . Everything was good!

I enjoyed lunch at the Flying Pig in Yaletown and would hands down recommend it on your next visit to Vancouver. The pea soup and fresh bread was delicious. My husband really enjoyed his seafood papardelle dish too. A nice meal, reasonably priced at $50 for lunch and a glass of wine for two!

My husband and I had a good experience, not great but not bad. The food was fantastic! but the service was eh. It was crowded on a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign for food quality but it was cramped and the staff was extremely busy/rushed. We has issues getting our waitresses attention, or keeping while talking to her... More

I was told I would enjoy eating at TFP. And my friends were right. Too bad you cannot reserve but we ended up eating at the bar and we loved it. Drinks and food were great, the ambiance was even better (loud but lovely) so just make sure to stop by when you're next in Vancouver.

Have you ever been to a promising gastro pub only to be let down by the service and food? Well, not at the Flying Pig! This place is top drawer! As Vancouver newbies, we wandered around Yaletown looking for something delicious to fill our travel-weary bellies. The Flying Pig delivered the goods. We sat at the bar and after perusing... More

This place is a no brainer - JUST DO IT. Located in the hip Hamilton Street enclave of Yaletown - in a street jam packed with eateries and bars, the Flying Pig is above them all. Without pretense, and it could have it in bucket loads if wanted, the service is welcoming, friendly and cheeky. Staff are delightful and good... More

I've eaten here a few times and it is always a great experience. All the staff (host, waitstaff bartender) are excellent and friendly. The food is pretty good - a solid 4/5.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and never been disappointed. The staff are very professional and have a unique way of making you feel special while they care for a number of other tables. The menu is different and fun and everything on it is appealing. They have a good selection of craft beers and, after trying... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
