I say this isn't one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant because we've been to some fantastic restaurants all over the world not because this wasn't good. We came for appys and beer and had a great time. Beer and food were good. Loved the crispy sprouts. Grey cup weekend so it was busy so the... More

Great food, people and service and a great price. What else is there to say? I will be back next time I am in town.

I can't even begin to say how wonderful the food and service is at the Flying Pig, but actions speak louder than words and we went for lunch and dinner while in town for business. Those who joined us for dinner wanted to come back for brunch - therefore completing a tri-fecta for us. But alas, it wasn't in the... More

Walking around Yaletown we decided to try the Flying Pig due to the fact it was the busiest restaurant around. Good service but extremely loud. We had a couple drinks which were good but the food was more on the pub style quality. Heavy cheese on heavy gnocchi and bland sauce. My partner had a house salad for $15 that... More

Came here last week with some girlfriends for some appies and drinks after work. Service was awesome, they seated me at the window so I could get started on wine while I waited for my girlfriends to arrive The atmosphere is very casual, comfortable - even though it's in the middle of yaletown the staff are not pretentious at all... Located in Yaletown amongst other restaurants, pubs, and boutique stores, this restaurant has good energy and a young crowd, even on a Monday night. The food was interesting, heavy, and very large portions. The two of us each ordered an entree and a side, and I ordered a cup of pea soup to start since it was cold and rainy.... More

we arrived at the restaurant fairly early in the evening as we didn't want to wait too long and were seated straight away. This is a lively, noisy place - not the place for a quiet dinner but fun for people watching while you enjoy a cocktail..... The drinks and service were excellent but the food was very average. Service is fine. But the food is terrible. Had a pork roast. Tough and mostly fat. Vegetables over cooked and salty.

I don't eat pork but I'm so glad I stopped and looked at the menu. The name is very deceptive. Everything we had was good but I loved the short rib mac and cheese. The maple sugar pie was divine!!!

Food was fresh, delicious and well prepared. Cocktails tasty as well! This is not however the place for a quiet, romantic dinner. It is loud and busy, but that is part of it's bustling atmosphere. Waitstaff was very nice and very attentive.
