Love it here

I have eaten here over 40 times and have never had a bad meal. It is a great way to start your night out with friends, have a family gathering or just a nice romantic meal. They have it all for atmosphere as well as food! They never seem to disappoint as everything on the menu is delishious.

Stopped in for a beer (great selection) and wound up having two great apps - crispy brussel sprouts with lemon and parmesan cheese - wow! And fried calamari with spicy salsa. Restaurant has a great vibe and fun staff.

I loved all the food here. Fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. Brussels sprouts never tasted so good. Love the fact that they serve the bread with olive oil and balsamic. Would definitely return for lunch. Good value.

We have loved our gastown vacation and the flying pig was a great ending. Hubby ordered french toast that was thick with a slightly crunchy outside with fresh berries and a blackberry compote. He gobbled it right down. I had the hash special with corned beef. The flavors mixed well and even came with a salad. That's my new favorite... More

Had a lovely lunch in the Flying Pig, great service, great beer and great food. I had three pieces of deliciously moist Parmesan crusted chicken, two of the crowd had Poutine which appeared to disappear in short order - very tasty. Some nice local beers available and the server was very polite and efficient.

Saturday night with no reservation on way via foot to the casino and came across the busy restaurant with a few minute wait. Went to bar and got dark and stormy with housemate ginger syrup . Awesome! Git a table asap and great menu so we split the chicken and ordered a bunch of sides the short rib Mac and... More

The food was really good - calamari, chicken, short rib, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms were all nice prepared. Only problem was the noise level - we couldn't really talk because of the noise level. The tables that were communicating were shouting . It was like eating in a nightclub. I would go back in an instant for the food but we will... More

We enjoyed our first visit to the Flying Pig the week earlier that we went back on Saturday night. Both times, the food and service were exceptional. Saturday night was extremely busy and we sat upstairs. Our first visit , we were seated on the patio which I would wait for the next time.

The wait was 40 minutes for a table, but then again, we were walking by without reservations on a Saturday night. Because they don't have a waiting area, they usually just take cell phone numbers and call you when a table is about to be free. Despite the long wait, Yaletown is busy enough that we were able to amuse... More
