We had read some reviews on Urbanspoon which indicated poor service, so didn't think initially to go to the Flying Pig. However, when walking around searching around for a restaurant for dinner, we noticed that it was really busy and that people were heading to it in droves. So we joined in! The reception was friendly, we got a table... More

Stopped by the Flying Pig with some friends for their Saturday happy hour. We got there early to avoid the 4:00 line up as the weekend special only runs from 4 - 6 rather than their normal mid-week time of 3 - 6. You can sit at the bar or at the inner part of the restaurant along the wall.... More

We were out exploring with no set dinner plans and found this place. It was packed and they took our name, estimating a 45 minute wait. We barely had time to order drinks at a nearby lounge when they called with a table. Shared a multi-course meal and it was delicious. Our waitress was polite and attentive. No complaints, would... ....there's be one of these restaurant/bars in every city. Lively bar action, busy tables, tasty food. Feels like Soho, New York right in the heart of Yaletown! Great for ladies who lunch, office groups or singles - upbeat ambiance. Nice!

Located in the heart of Yaletown this tiny restaurant/bar was hopping Saturday late afternoon (4:30pm). They have 1 large table for parties greater than 8 so we were lucky it was free. They don't take reservations for dinner. The service was outstanding, very friendly and very attentive. It was extremely busy but the level of service did not diminish. The... More

Great atmosphere in a trendy part of town, this restaurant provides a wide variety of choices. But I have to be honest I only ate off the side-dish menu since I went there late New Years Eve. Four different sides and I was very satisfied with each one. I would definitely return to try several different entrees and apps though.... More

The atmosphere was humming and we loved the decor and ambiance. s The food was delicious - however there were a lot of competing flavours. Each dish was heavily sauced and flavoured and all the sides were equally rich and flavoured. All the flavours and richness compete with each other. I would have liked one stand-out flavour and then some... More

We went with a group of 4 and were seated quickly. Service was nice and friendly. They made sure we enjoyed our stay. The food: The crispy brussel sprouts were really delicious as well as the crimini mushroom gratin. The lobster risotto was good as well. The main courses, we had pork rack and steaks were nicely cooked. Overall a... More

We were a group of 7, and would have had to wait an hour for a table. So we sat at the bar in a long line that destroyed the feeling of a group together. The food, I ordered the veal, was excellent, and the Aussie bartender attentive

Went here on a Monday lunchtime and it was absolutely packed despite it being quiet on the streets. I guess Vancouverites value their lunches out! I was a bit difficult in wanting a low table with a bit of space around it as I was meeting my uncle who was coming from the airport with a suitcase but the staff... More
