We went for a family Sunday brunch and the restaurant was just starting to fill up. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful...the restaurant itself is classy in a rustic way...but the food was just fair. Because of the myriad options in Yaletown, I'm not sure I'd go back, but it was definitely a good (but not great) food experience.

We arrived from the states and to our hotel well past lunch time and wandered into Yaletown in search of a place to eat. I was famished. As usual, my husband ordered the best of the two entrees, and I ended up wishing I had what he had. I had a filling chef salad which was good but we both... More

This was highly recommended in the guide books and from previous reviews and I was not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful even entertaining my three children of under 5 years by making balloons of latex gloves as well as giving us a run down of what too see in Vancouver. The service was exceptional, the trout on a pea... More

First you should know that there are two locations of The Flying Pig in Vancouver: one in Gastown and one in Yaletown. I can only comment on the Gastown location, very central, along a lovely vibrant, bustling street lined with maple trees. We had lunch out on the small patio. Service was great - friendly, quick, knowledgable, and engaging. Cocktails... More

went for a business lunch, found portions to be unbalanced, too many fries with my steak sandwich, food overall was reasonably well presented but lacked in taste a little, expected more according to some reviews I read, service was very attentive and that saved the day.

During a walk through the Gas Town area, a friend I decided to stop in at the Flying Pig, as we had heard positive reviews in the past. The décor was nothing special, but the atmosphere was welcoming and the establishment was fairly busy – usually a good sign. I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to... More

I had higher expectations after enjoying their appy-hour some months ago. My brunch was a mediocre croque accompanied with a very small portion of salad. Our waiter failed to tell us about any of the specials, which we could not see from our table. And I couldn't believe how much they charged for my tea. Nice atmosphere but I left... More

A very good restaurant in Gas Town with hearty fare and good staff. I sat at the bar to eat and both staff and other patrons were very friendly. A good selection of beers as well

Overall very good. The service is great. The food is mostly great. The atmosphere was great. We had the beet salad which was great, we had the halibut which was great. We had the signature pork ribs which was a little disappointing due to the dryness of the meat. Hope our next visit will be better.

Stopped by for drinks and an appy on sat afternoon. Nice drinks and snacks. But we came in at 550pm and they said that happy hour prices were not available even though the advert said 6pm cut off. Not cool!
