My daughter, who was in Vancouver for the GSA Conference from Los Angeles, chose The Flying Pig as one of three restaurant choices. It was unanimous, based only on the menu. A dicey prospect, yes? I am so glad we chose The Flying Pig. Poutine isn't common in LA, or where we live in the PNW for that matter. (But... More

Nothing to dislike...the food and service is amazing. It was so good we went there every day for either lunch or dinner. You won't find a place like this anywhere in Vancouver.

Heard lots of good things about The Flying Pig so checked it out before the hockey game. The food was great, decent wine list, cold beer and excellent service. Would definitely return, only negative its a very lively place, not good for a intimate dinner.

Hubby and I were on our own this Thanksgiving so decided to try out The Flying Pig restaurant in Yaletown. We have been before and thoroughly enjoyed the dinner so thought Thanksgiving would be a good idea. It was fabulous, the turkey breast meat was so moist and tasty and the vegetable stuffing delicious. There wasn't a scrap of food... More

Nice restaurant the food was good not great. One thing that caught my attention on the menu was the bone marrow cheese toast. I swear there wasn't any bone marrow on it. Anyway's like I said, good not great.

When your hotel concierge recommends a restaurant as "their favourite in Vancouver" you often wonder how much their kickback on bookings is. In this case I have to say "oh my freaking God" never have I experienced such a well executed fusion of Canadian culture, modern, funky surroundings and food. If there is queue for a table - my advice... More

Great service, great food, good selection of good beers. Nice atmosphere, the place is full of locals which I always find a good sign. Seating is comfortable however it is a busy little place and this a bit loud, I wouldn't come here looking for an intimate dining experience. I also wouldn't come here looking for mind-blowing food, but what... More

This was our first night in Yaletown, Vancouver and was an excellent start to our Canadian holiday. The wait staff Joshua was so interested and knowledgable that we felt in very capable foodie hands and were introduced to some amazing food. He even took our map away and added places of interest to experience while In Vancouver. This was so... More

We arrived ready to wait in line as no reservations are taken and line ups are commonplace, and we were almost disappointed to be led right in to a free table. Everything was impeccable, especially the charming service by the multi talented Joshua Langston, with whom we chatted at length about Vancouver, food and fashion, and much in between. The... More

I came by for a quick bite between films at VIFF and was majorly disappointed. Have been in several times since it opened but was travelling alone this time. I was stuck in a corner where I was ignored for service, Finally asked to be served. The salmon cakes that came were tasteless with little salmon, mostly filler and the... More
