Stopped here for lunch and was impressed with the selection. The rolls I chose were very fresh and tasty. I would go here again.
We were excited to taste the famous Vancoucer sushis. This restaurant was recommanded by someone at tourism office as being excellent and very affordable. It was indeed affordable, but we were not impressed. Some rolls tasted like grocery store sushis, some did not hold and had to be eaten with a spoon. Some fish was grey... maybe this was normal,... Can't get better sushi for the price. Very generous portions and well prepared. The presentation was very good. It was a great meal. Not a place to linger with friends. Seating is very basic. They encourage takeout and a lot of people come in to pick up their phoned in orders.
It's a convenient place to pickup sushi from when you don't have time to cook, as it will definitely fill you up. This is at best decent quality sushi but sometimes that's all you need. Their special rolls are actually yummy and their house salad is great due to the dressing they use! Quick and easy sushi.... CHECK! Have fun!

This has been my go to sushi spot for takeout for a year now and I have absolutely no complaints. The food is tasty, consistent and quickly prepared. The portion sizes are generous and the definitely don't skimp on the fish. My personal favourite is the tuna sashimi, which literally melts in your mouth, and the avocado roll which is... More
Although only staying in Vancouver for a few nights, we went to Yamato Sushi twice because it was so good. Offering both take out and eat in services, the sushi was good quality and great value.
Do not mistake this place as the best sushi you can get in Van, but this place is by-far the best money-to-value proposition that you can get. For the specials (there are 5), you can get 22 pieces of sushi for $5.95 + Miso soup AND Salad!! The frugal foodie in me wholeheartedly approves. The sushi is not the best,... More
Sushi is a major meal component across Vancouver and we've eaten at more than our share of the restaurants downtown but this place is hands down the best. Its easy to miss as its a little hole in the wall place with maybe half a dozen tables and a bar by the window but the food is delicious and the... More
