I live nearby and this is my favourite restaurant in the city. Sure there is better food at Hawksworth and cooler cocktails at Diamond, but in terms of overall balance of food, drinks, and vibe, this is is my favourite place. One thing I would say is I don't really recommend the brunch (there are tons of great brunch spots... More

Best restaurant experience thus far in the city. Oakwood gives amazing new culinary experiences in a bright ambiance with friendly and knowledgable staff. If you want a great place to eat in Vancouver this is it!

We had an awesome evening here. Lovely atmosphere, brilliant food. This place is really a must. The canadian poutine is truly delicious! I love the whole concept of sharing food, I will go here again

After flying into Vancouver, this was the first stop for brunch. Wow, what a treat. It was delectably scrumptious for both me and my boyfriend. I had french toast that one of the best I've ever had. My boyfriend also enjoyed his meal very much. The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was beautiful. They are a conscious business that... More

The Oakwood is a great addition to Vancouver Westside, within driving minutes of Point Grey, Dunbar, Kerrisdale and Kits. And what a joy to finally have a really quality restaurant without having to drive to Main Street or downtown. During the week they are open only for dinner, (and trust me, you want to try their dinner menu), but on... More

It is not easy to become noticed in Vancouver. Too many great places to eat. We were very much surprised and delighted to find this gem in our own neighbourhood. The starters including fried octopus and Canadian poutine are delicious. Absolutely wonderful maple mustard meringue accompaniment for the guilty pleasures of a pork belly. And the most shocking moment was a... More

The ambiance of the place is probably more suited for a romantic meal or dinner with a good friend. I had the Canadian steak, and a trio of desserts to share. The food was delicious and exquisitely presented. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff... Highly recommended.

As someone with Celiac disease dining out can be tricky and worrisome. I was immediately put to ease when the GM told me that the head chef's wife is Celiac and he knows all about the dangers of cross contamination. So for the first time in ages I sat down at a restaurant anxiety free and had an amazing meal... More

A Coworker and I went to The Oakwood together after hearing good things and being urged to try it out. We showed up and even though they were busy a table was ready for us with a minimal wait. We asked for recommendations since we like to try everything and were offered a tasting menu that wasn't on the menu.... More
