Deliciously amazing

You have gotta call in advance, because walk in's are gonna be sooo dissappointed. Food is amazing and delicious and cheap. 7 of us dine in there today and the total bill was under 90. I would recommend the Beef with Fried milk, Pork ribs, Seafood fried rice. So yummy! also, they have free wifi... read more

I was first introduced to this restaurant a few years ago by friends who invited me there to "drink tea" (enjoy dim sum). At that time my recollection was that there was nothing remarkable about this establishment. I had occasion to enjoy a delightful dinner at the Western Lake restaurant about a couple of months ago, the food arrived promptly... More

A good place to eat for dim sum. With their prices and the quality of the food they have, it's a neighborhood gem. Food comes out freshly cooked and hot so don't eat too quickly or you won't be able to taste anything after that first bite. It's not a big restaurant so be prepared to wait in line. The... More

Reservation is a must whether it's for Dim Sum or for dinner. They are always very packed. This is probably my favourite restaurant for Dim Sum. Very good pricing with large portions. Even though the portions are large, everything is very tasty. Numerous items on the dim sum menu to choose from. I would recommend to come here with a... More

I am getting to the stage where, even as a gwai-lo, my palate can sort out the different qualities in the little dim sum dishes , whether they are fresh ,whether they are re-heated etc. I've been to many yam cha fests over the years and I have to say that Western Lake is one of my favourites. The portions... More

This restaurant is small and fills up quickly so make a reservation and do not be late. The small size and regular patrons means there is always a crowd up front and people waiting out side. The dim sum is good varied reasonably priced with large portions. The service is quick and efficient as they really want to turn the tables,so this is... My Mother's hairdresser told us about Western Lake. Had a family dinner there and loved it. Have been going back there for years. Excellent food with large portions, good prices and good service. Great family run business. Always busy with lots of Chinese customers. I am Japanese and my husband is Caucasian. He sticks out like a sore thumb. So... More

We had dim sum here and the only thing good about this place is the har gau and the shu mai are big. Taste wise is average. The price is around C$4.50 per dim sum. They also charge C$0.80 per head for tea. The restaurant itself is not very big so go really early on weekends, otherwise the wait time... More

We attended a family event on December 21, the first day of Winter. The place was hoping and very noisy but the food and family time was excellent. We enjoyed multiple dishes and all were excellent but the friend rice was the best. The crab was unusual and dipped in a planko batter and deep fried, I would never order... More
