Great place for breakfast in downtown Vancouver!

We stumbled upon Sciue Italian Bakery Cafe while looking for a place for breakfast. This small cafe hit the spot. I had some sort of egg on a English muffin meal if I recall correctly. Very tasty. Service was good too!

Very convenient when staying in one of the hotels just North of the waterfront. A colleague and I had breakfast at Sciue's three mornings in a row: good selection of breakfast paninis and pastries, friendly and efficient service. Sciue's have an outdoor area with sofas and chairs which was very pleasant to sit out in. Whilst it is right on... More

One of the things that encourages me whether to go to a new restaurant is the number of locals there. Sciue had lots but, as we observed later, they were having coffee not breakfast. My and my partner's omelettes were warm and without taste. The prosciutto that we orded was replaced by slices of ham. When questioned as to why,... More

I came across this cafe when looking to watch some World Cup Soccer while I had lunch. The cafe was busy but the lines moved fairly quick. The service was good - not overly friendly but not rude. The choices of pizza were good, lots of foods I had never tried on a pizza and I enjoyed the taste. The... More

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times, mainly because it is so close to a clients location. The pizza is ok but quite pricey (even by downtown standards) and a bit on the greasy side if you are getting it to go. I've tried their lasagna, again nothing special and I didn't order it again. I have always... More

Good food and coffee. Terrible service. Sneering, haughty staff. I know enough Italian to understand that the staff and supervisor were ridiculing the customers in Italian while they were in the cafe.

Very authentic espresso at downtown prices. Expect a bit of a wait if you don't speak Italian (even if it's not busy)

This is my second visit here for brunch and I am sad to say I was incredibly disappointed. The service was really bad, total lack of training, unprofessional and actually quite rude. The food lacked of seasoning, but it was decent. I am sure I won't go back here for brunch.
