Do not be put off by the small dining area, the food is very tasty and well presented. I had the Tom Yum soup, which was extremely flavourful. I followed this with the Green Curry with chicken with a side of jasmine rice. I would definitely return here, the staff were friendly and the food was cheap and good.

We stopped by for a late lunch between Stanley Park bicycling sessions. What a nice surprise. Its a tiny place, but the food was excellent. Not fancy or overly different from the typical Thai menu, but each of our four meals was excellent. I'd return if I was ever around the area again.

Excellent food you don't need reservations. It is close to Stanley park and would be a great way to complete a memorable day at the park.

We stopped by Lanna Thai while out with visitors. It was a decent enough place; food was decent if not a tad overpriced. However, we were there during the busy dinner rush...and every dining table was completely full. It seemed as though the restaurant has only one cook (and one small stove) given how the dishes were coming out. As... More

Friendly, reasonable, quiet, great service and very fresh food. Might get crowded as there were only a few tables.

I've been to Lanna Thai many times over the last few years and have reviewed it before. This is an update based on its new - and amazing - menu item. First, Lanna Thai is a small restaurant where the owner/chef Malai does pretty much everything. Everything is made from scratch and authentic. The menu includes the usual Thai dishes... More

Ordered the Chicken pad Thai and Chicken Basil and were not disappointed at all! It was just what we needed after a 3.5 hour walk along Stanley Park's seawall.

This was my second time to this restaurant. It's northern thai food, so the flavours might not meet expectations for some people. The green papaya salad was delicious, as was the tom yum soup and pad kee mao noodles. Best thai food we've had since we were in Chiang Mai 6 months ago. Will return for sure.

I ordered the basil stir fry with chicken to go. The veggies were very fresh and the dish was very spicy. It was an excellent choice. I also got the fried wonton appetizer. That was not as flavorful, and was a bit dry. I would skip that one next time

We visited Vancouver and stayed around the corner from this gem. The restaraunt is very small (capacity about 25, I'd guess). The people were friendly, the service fast, and the food was excellent. My wife had a curried soup, which she found deliciious, and I had a spicy noodle dish (thai name escapes me as I write this...) The quality... More
