Amazing Gelato

We had heard about the gelato from a number of people and seen the trip advisor reviews, and they were all right - amazing gelato - only problem is which flavor or flavors to choice - a task helped by friendly staff who will provide you with samples - I had a dark chocolate - delicious.

We were staying at the Pacific Rim and came upon this by chance - by far the best ice-cream we've had in a while and the kids loved watching them make it through the windows!

Located in the active waterfront near the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel, this place is widely recommended. It did not disappoint. My Gelato was likely the best I have had. Certainly worth trying.

This is the sort of place that you want to take out of town visitors, yet is a great locals spot to grab some gelato. I've been to BGG a few times and it never disappoints.

Nosh and Nibble came here after a California-style taco night and I ordered the following: 2 scoops with Torroncino and Fior di Latte ($8 in a cone) I found it funny that they had to explain the difference in price is because you get more gelato in a cone. In any case, the Torroncino was a nougat-y flavour interspersed with... More

While riding the free bus to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, the driver could not stop talking about how this place was the best gelato you will ever have in your life. Needless to say we were intrigued. This place does not disappoint and it, as of writing this review, is the best gelato I have ever had. They have a... More

Best Gelato in the world - it sure tastes like it! The Toasted Almond with maple syrup is the flavor that won "Best Gelato" and beat out Italy for the title. Do yourself a favor...go to the Fairmont and have some - all of the flavors are fantastic and you can taste up to 3.

On our Vancouver Foodie tour, we ended at Bella Gelato and learned the difference between Icecream, Gelato and Sorbet ice. We had a taster of salty caramel gelato plus two sorbet ice varieties including dark chocolate (sic!) and it was truly outstanding. All prepared in sight of the public in the Laboratorio attached to the Gelateria.

This places deserves the multiple awards it has received. Legit! Amazing gelato with such a wide variety of flavours. It is ideally located and on a hot day, the wait may be a bit long, but totally worth it! Best gelato I ever had (did have to ignore the calorie intake but worth it!)

The long line is a strong disincentive to a visit. Portions are small (that's not so bad in itself) but expensive. But if you can get over that, there are many really interesting sounding flavors that I wanted to try...but there is a 3 sample maximum. This ends up being a good thing as some (i.e. me) may wish to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
