Sudbury may be Ontario's Porchetta capital...but when visiting Vancouver this is a must visit spot. Slow roasted goodness on store baked bread is to die for. I think we found it cause it was on a tv show, but so glad we did. The portions are good, though not overly generous, they are certainly worth the money. Great lunch spot... More

First you certainly see the food being made as you go through it and some of their dishes are quite unique. Roasted meats wrapped with spices being sliced and chopped as you walk through the line. They offer only a few sandwiches at a time to allow them to make amazing food you couldn't get with having to stock many... More

I was excited to hear from my brother that he had planned a lunch at Meat and Bread while I was in Vancouver for a few days. We went later in the afternoon, and I was worried that they would be out of the porchetta, but when we arrived it was still on the menu. Since we were going out... More

So I heard the hype… and much like many things in life (and on tripadvisor) - vastly overrated. Atmosphere - Typical hipster, clean & modern, loud music blaring from speakers Staff - Typical hipster - ironic 'unique' tattoos, facial piercings, unwashed hair, half-ironic smirk Food - Typical hipster - overpriced, words include 'local' 'organic' 'artisan' haha well maybe not those... What more can you ask for? Delicious meat on nice crusty bread. Don't be discouraged by the line these guys are efficient. If you are with someone grab a seat if available, and then order for the two of you seating is limited. Now the food, the Porchetta was very good (I think mine is better, but that's my opinion),... Awesome sandwiches. Hard to pass on the porchetta, but their specials have always been good whenever I've had to try them -- the porchetta often sells out late in the day.

Great "fast food" that is made from scratch in front of you. The menu is very limited so the choices are easy. Portions are suitable, place is busy, everyone is happy, so all is good. Great place for a quick lunch.

My partner and I went here on a Friday lunchtime and were not disappointed. We both had the porschetta with salsa verde and it was very tasty. The only thing I would say is that for $8 the sandwich probably should be a bit bigger- or price is lowered a bit. I think because it's classed as a 'hip' place... More

Decided to stop in and grab a sandwich while walking around Gastown. Before walking in, you could smell the flavors of the food coming out of the door. Upon walking in, it's a simple menu to choose from so ordering was simple. My wife had the daily special "lebanese lamb," and I had the "porchetta." Man ole man, the flavors... More

Title says it all. Good lunch place... I recommend pork or meatballs. Good atmosphere too... It's very simple, easy menu. I'd definitely go back for my next Vancouver visit.
