We were in between meetings and needed a quick place for lunch. This place was recommended to us and it was incredible. Very fast service and the sandwiches were awesome. Could use a bit more seating but other than that I think I found my new favourite place for lunch.

Awesome awesome idea. Just dont ask them to cut your sandwich. The line is generally quite long but the wait is worth it. The Porchetta is brilliant every time and the daily special has been worth the risk without fail.

I was visiting Vancouver on a business trip. I like trying new stuff so I visited Meat & Bread. I am so glad I did. We visited at 1:30pm so the line was not bad. I had the Porchetta sandwich and an iced coffee. I love the fact that they cut the meat that goes into your sandwich right in... More

This restaurant is an unassuming, yet cool space in Gastown, a hipster neighborhood in Vancouver. I made the mistake of stopping by about an hour before they opened and had to watch them slow cooking and then hand pulling the pork and chicken for their sandwiches. The hunger pangs hit so hard that I had to run to get a... More

Tried the new Victoria location for lunch after hearing several rave reviews. Fantastic Porchetta Sammy in a minamilist assembly line setting. Could be the best pork I've ever eaten. The cracklins are sublime as is the salsa verde. House mustard is excellent but would prefer it in the Sammy not on the side. Service was fast and efficient but not... More

We had visited it for a breakfast serving and we loved it so much that we had to return the next day and ended up having to wait a long queue to get our table and lunch but it was perfect and worth the effort. Like the name goes, their bread and meat are exceptional and comes in an impressive... More

If you crave a great, fresh, flavourful sandwich, Meat & Bread is the place. It is a walk up order restaurant with a small menu. Not to worry, all selections are good. We tried the pork selection, and the chicken special. Can't wait to go back and try some other choices. You will not be disappointed. This is a must... More

They have a great sandwich made of fresh baked bread and slow roasted pork that has been chopped and served with an aus-ju gravy. It is really good! You need to get there early as the line forms for lunch and it is not uncommon to have 200+ people in line. It is well worth checking out!

Very very nice flavour, just how i remember it a year ago. It's almost perfect. Dinning space in here is a bit limited, but it's a fun concept. You can have them to go (to other place if you like) Still loving it. $10 for a fulling and yummy lunch. Oh yeah.
