We stopped in here before the lunch rush & I recommend you do so also or wait until after the rush. Someone greeted us at the door and asked if we had ever been there before. We said no so she welcomed us and told us they had 4 different sandwiches. She named them off and told us that the... More

Recently visited Vancouver with family and found Meat and Cheese on Trip Advisor so we checked it out. Simple menu, food prepared quickly and was tasty. Staff was very friendly. My daughter ordered the coleslaw side salad which was really good. I had the pork but truthfully, we all couldn't get enough of my son's grilled cheese...yummy. This place is... More

We had the standard sandwich and I had the special chicken curried with onion mayo and some veggies marinated. Really special. My grandson had the meatball and the other two had the porcetta. They say it is off the chart good. We got there at a lull or before the lunch time line up and found ourselves as well a... More

Simple menu, fresh warm foccacia bread and some "meat" options plus a special- which flies out the door. When I ate there, the special was roasted herbed lamb, chimichurri ladled over and crushed pork skin cracklins on top. Choose from a short list of bottles beverages or water. Sandwiches are served on mini bread boards with butcher paper with a... More

They had 4 sandwiches on the menu and like the server said, they do only a few things and make sure they are the best at it. The food was unbelievable with a hip atmosphere and a local vibe to it. Reasonably priced as well!

Just a quick lunch spot, but so delicious I ate there twice this week. I had the Borshetta? Pork sandwich which was great. I went back for the Corned Beef, but the Special of the day (Which they seem to rotate daily) was a shredded beef sandwich with chimichurri and jalapenos. May be the best sandwich I have ever eaten.... More

If you are only in town for a day I would say this is the place you have to eat at. Their pork sandwich is amazing. This place was recommended to us by our driver and it did not disappoint. The only suggestion I would give that you should arrive early for lunch as there will be a very long... More

Generous serving of pork onto a bread. What else could i ask for? Meat roasted to perfection and the bread was so nice. For such a heavenly sandwich, it was very reasonably priced.

We actually ate in the West Pender branch of Meat and Bread (open weekdays only, 11am - 4pm). There are 4 sandwich choices only - one of which is the Porchetta, which I believe is a core part of their menu. I kind of have no words for it - the most tender, succulent roast pork, a delicious salsa verde... More
