Well, the minimalism of this place is gorgeous, the food is great and the environment is friendly but I think is a little bit overpriced for bread and meat subs

We stopped for lunch at Meat and Bread on our recent trip to Vancouver. Yes, it's a tiny place...Yes, we waited in line...yes, only 4 or 5 different options...Yes it's DELICIOUS!! I had the porchetta sandwich and my husband the meatball, both were super moist and yummy! My sister and brother in law tasted the daily specail turkey sandwich and... More

I had just arrived in the city after a bus trip down from Whistler. It was past normal lunch time, and in short, I was famished! Meat & Bread was my saviour. I got the daily special - chicken souvlaki with a tabbouleh salad and tzatziki. It was perfection between bread! Hunger was now history, and on with my day... More

There'll be a line-up out the door but it's worth the wait. Only 3 or 4 sandwich options, we were recommended the porchetta which seemed to be the signature dish, it was great. There was a chicken satay option too that was tempting. Plenty of seating at small tables/benches/bar in an modern yet welcoming space. Not expensive either.

It's simple, but delish. The Porchetta (pork, salsa verde and cracklins) is OMG good! Top it off with a local craft beer and a locally produced bacon chocolate candy bar and you can't go wrong.

We arrived in Vancouver Airport just before lunch, and our hosts suggested this place. It did not disappoint. Everything, including their mustard, hot sauce, and seasoning rub is in house made. The Ciabatta buns are light, but have just the right texture. There are three everyday choices of sandwiches, and one daily special, along with a couple of daily soups... More

The subject line says it all. It has to be one of my favourite places to get a sandwich. Get there early though because there is always a line but it moves pretty quick. Not a huge selection on the menu but there doesn't need to be. What they have is more than enough. Seriously if your in Vancouver at... More

...if the meat and bread are done well, and Meat & Bread accomplishes this. The concept is simple: offer a few items, place the depth and complexity in the flavors, and execute well. Meat & Bread's go to is the porchetta which I had. The porchetta was made perfectly. It was juicy with just the right amount of crunch texture... More

I hadn't read the reviews when I found this place but i agree with all the positive comments. Meat & Bread doesn't provide a great deal of choice, and what's available is heavily meat biased, but what they serve is of the highest quality. It all looked delicious. I had the porchetta but was tempted by all the items on... More

A Beautiful and cool place with an industrial touch. Very simple concept. Great guys working there. I LOVE IT. It’s not really for dining, but great tasty food and you know what you get unless you are an analphabet. Not too suitable for vegetarians. Thumbs up! Well done!!!
