Great place

You'll most likely arrive to a line out the door during lunch hour, but the wait isn't bad at all. Maybe ten minutes for us. While we were waiting in line, an employee came outside and spoke with each person in line individually, telling us what was available on the menu that day (presumably to... read more

When in Vancouver you owe to yourself to go and get a porchetta sandwich. Stand in line watch them make the sandwiches. Eat your sandwich at a communal table. Feel alive enjoy life.

One of the places that I will recommend all my friends for a quick lunch bite. They have about 4 types of sandwiches but they are the best. The pork is my favourite. A line up at lunch time is a norm. Enjoy.

Based on a very simple premiss, they make just four types of sandwiches each day from the best fresh ingredients. If you're going to do just one thing you'd better do it well, and I'm happy to say that at Meat & Bread they've succeeded. I tried the signature porchetta sandwich. The porchetta was rich and nearly melted in my... More

We went to Meat and Bread because we saw it on Diners Drive-Ins and Drives and the food looked simple yet amazing. Luck for us the food was AMAZING!! Very simple menu with only a couple of sandwiches a day offered. I already knew that I was getting the porchetta sandwich, regardless of what else was offered. The meatball was... More

I'm righting this review a little late and I was struggling to remember what I had. Then it hit me... my wife had the pork stuffing sandwich (that obviously means that I also tried the pork) while I had roast beef (that obviously means that my wife didn't try the beef). Oh man, those sandwiches were good. It's a 20... More

This is the best sandwich place I know of. They only sell 4 types of sandwiches. I have had the porchetta twice. Both times it was amazing. They make everything in house and it shows.

Went to the one on West Pender. They're only open from 11am to 4pm, so we went at around 11:30 and there was a short queue, which then turned massive after we got our food. Ordered their classic porchetta, wife got the vego of the day, plus the black bean soup. All food = good, short wait as they prepped,... More

MEAT AND BREAD So Good!!! I had heard it was really good so I had to try. I stopped by for lunch and there was a line up out the door of this small little restaurant downtown at 370 Cambie Street near Victory Square. Mostly young men were in the line up ordering one to eat in and one to... More

This place has it all. Great food, good presentation, lovely decor and everyone that works there is super nice. The porcetta sandwich is perfect, the meatball sandwich is nice and spicy and they always have an interesting special of the day. It's well worth going out of your way to eat here. Everytime I visit Vancouver, I have to eat... More
