To call it szechuan would be stretching it. Upstairs location that wasn't inviting so did takeout. Wish I'd read reviews here beforehand. Agree about lettuce wrapped duck. Wonder if food contained msg as as I've been very thirsty since. Ordered 2 other dishes with duck..1 too many for 2 people. Edible but wouldn't go back or recommend. Oh..my hotel did... More

Started with complementary tea which was lovely, very refreshing with a nice flavour. The place is simple but clean. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. There was plenty of it too. The lady who served us was friendly and efficient. Offered to box up what we didn't eat.

This was recommended to us by the local hotel we stayed at in Vancouver.Thinking that the city has an excellent reputation for asian food, we'ed try it.Going upstairs, and being confronted by what looked like a cheesy take out joint, with no wall decor and little cloth less tables, we thought maybe this is a find. Ordered an expensive appetizer... More

After reading the previous reviews, we headed out to Won More. At first glance, it reminded us of a simple little cafe back in the UK and, although the decor is dated, it didn't detract us from enjoying a thoroughly delicious meal. We had the wonton soup, which was flavoursome, followed by chicken with pineapple, large boiled rice and chicken... More

Staying in English Bay, and starving-so ordered the Deep Fried Tofu and Eggplant Hot Pot. Scrumptious, spicy, sweet!!! Chunks of fresh ginger, garlic and chilis...just heaven. Also had chicken with tangerine peel-spicy and fantastic as well. Giant spring rolls an excellent crispy loaded with veggies value, and fragrant jasmine rice just right to accompany. I can't believe more people haven't reviewed!!... More

This little second floor joint near English Bay has been there forever; consistently serving delicious food. The ginger beef, orange peel chicken, spicey green beans and Szechuan eggplant are my particular favourites on the menu. The service is quick, the food very fresh, the portions plentiful and the value amazing.

I eat here a lot. It's in my neighbourhood but despite restaurants all over the area I crave their food over all others. Being a vegetarian I can eat almost anywhere in vancouver but Won More's rocksalt prawns with crispy noodles and green beans is really delicious and garlicky...mmmmm! The eggplant tofu hot pot is sweet and sticky and delicious... More

If you're in Vancouver and looking for one of the best Szechuan Restaurants, head down to English Bay. Near the corner of Denman and Davie Streets is a gem of a restaurant loved by the locals. It is situated on the 2nd floor of a strip of restaurants, cafes etc..., and there is a spiral staircase to walk up. Whereas... More
