Quick delicious business lunch

First visit to this restaurant at the tail end of lunch mid week. got a table straight away and tea served immediately. Good options on lunch menu but do not make changes easily, a change was made but an additional charge added - this is fine but it was not busy and the change was simple. Food was... read more

Great place for tasty, generous and fresh sushi portions. When feeling adventurous for a different taste and presentation of sushi, try their Aburi roll or spicy tuna combination. Chef Junn ( slender chef, moustache, far right)is usually present by the wall side counter, makes great sushi. The menu holds the omakase, ie chef's selection for a meal menu, however, not tried... A friend of my suggested this restaurant as she knows my family loves Japanese food. We arrived at the restaurant 30 min. before they are about to closed we were not even paying attention of the time as we are so hungry but, they let us in to dine unlike some restaurant they will informed you they are about to... It's used to be Japanese owned and they were excellent, but now owner has been changed. I checked their website before our visit and it was same as before and even the original chef was in the picture and the review was excellent. That's why we went there again. We were told that they hold our reservation only 10 minutes... More

This restaurant was referred to us with high praise. I must say that our dinner surpassed my expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional and the service perfect. The chef and his team were very friendly and if I ever go back to Vancouver I will certainly pay them another visit.

Went there after a flight from Arizona and a frantic hour at the Bellingham Costco so I was ready for a good meal. I was not disappointed. The spicy scallop roll was very fresh and very big. The miso soup was piping hot. I had the chicken kaarage and although it was different to other places I've tried...it was very... More

Hopped in for lunch with spouse to try this place, finding out it changed ownership just nigh a year ago. Very pleasant server states, "very young owner." To me excellence reveals itself in the quality of its miso soup, and here it did not disappoint, being rich and full-flavored. We tried the special, "volcano roll", a surprising treat with crisp... An unassuming place that will absolutely blow your mind away! Excellence in quality, presentation and service. Our only regret was our limited stomach capacity preventing us from trying out more stuff. You can see the chefs' passion for their craft in the food "art" you are presented. For what you get, it's an unbelievable value. Even before we left, we... More

I popped in for a quick lunch, and ordered the sushi combo plate, which came with a large bowl of miso soup. Very attentive service (they weren't busy), and the sushi chef was very obviously well trained and experienced. He had two sous chefs working behind him, and he would occasionally look over their shoulders to see they were on... More

We came here for the first time on April 29, 2012 after reading about it in Vancouver Magazine's Restaurant Awards issue. Chef Kimura was holding court at the sushi bar and we ordered the $40 omakase which consisted of 9 dishes. Great value and excellent inventive cuisine! It quickly becomes evident that Chef Kimura is a master of textures. The... More
