Nice setting - so-so food

You can't beat the fabulous location or the funky building. Service was pretty good (the restaurant was deserted). The food was below average though. The steak was chewy and bland. (The Keg steak the night before was much better.) The salmon was tasty, but appeared to be farmed. The duck confit was... read more

My fiancé and I made diner reservations here the day after Valentines day. The sun was setting in Stanley Park and we ordered their famous stuffed mushroom appetizer that was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. Everything complimented the other in every bite. My fiancé ordered the Salmon and I had the mushroom ravioli. Everything couldn't have been more... More

So I've been coming to the Teahouse for 30 plus years. Great location inside Stanley Park. Although there have been several owners, the current one has been quite good....until now. Their menu says one thing and they delivered a variation, not what I have had before from the same menu. Must be a different chef. The smoked salmon on a... More

The teahouse is set on the former officer's barracks at iconic Stanley Park, lovely location! The service is excellent, the waitress serving our table did a great job and it was a pleasure to deal with. The menu is pretentious and attempts to reach levels the kitchen can only dream off, the delivery is nothing less than expected from this... More

The Teahouse understands what it takes to be one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. You start of with a perfect location in majestic and iconic Stanley Park. Towering trees, the ocean and sailboats are part of your view. Then you add a menu that focuses on local and fresh ingredients that culminate in outstanding and delicious meals. We had... More

Our first visit was last December Christmas holidays. As we were very pleased with the food, service and environment we gave the restaurant a good tip. However, today's visit was quite the opposite. We have a booking at one o'clock and e arrived five minutes earlier and of course we expect to wait a bit. Twenty minutes later when half... More

We rode bikes around Stanley Park and were getting very hungry and stumbled upon the beautiful Teahouse. I had the carrot soup and it was so good and helped warm me up since we went in January. My friends had pork tenderloin and fish and chips with wine and loved every bite. A great view, great atmosphere, great service. A... More

Visited here in July 2014. Was great fun to get dressed up formal and enjoy a special evening. The hostess was very perceptive and gave us a private window seat so that we could enjoy the open air and watch the sunset. One of the workers actually went outside and opened up the shutters for us fully to enjoy the... More

Been too long between visits; dine out Vancouver brought us back. You can't access the restaurant via English Bay, you can drive around the park or you can shorten the trip by turning off the causeway before the bridge. Pay parking is in effect until 6pm, free after that it is free. Service was exceptional from all the staff. We... More

We were here for dine out and it's been awhile since we dined here but it was the best meal we've had in a long long time. The server was excellent. When we arrived, he changed our white napkins to black ones as we were in dark attire. He recommended wines and entrees. He was attentive throughout the whole meal.... More
