Interesting things on the menu, not too expensive

A neat little place. If you don't want to pay for parking, park a few blocks away in the residential areas. Nothing spectacular, but a comfortable atmosphere. Good vegan options.

If you're like me, and you have friends that are vegan, or gluten free etc..., but love meat and bread, and pretty much everything, this is the perfect place for you to meet and eat! Trendy, casual, artsy with genuinely delicious food, lovely service and lively energy. Lunch, brunch..coffee, whatever your searching for, you're probably going to get it here.

I am very happy with my experience at the Wallflower. The diner is cozy and trendy in the same time with the light garlands attached to the walls and the pieces of arts on sale, along with the bar and the cool staff. Talking about the staff, they all were very friendly. My friend and I were greeted and seated... More

Where can you find a gluten free and vegan poutine? Here at the Wallflower! This place is the perfect place to eat if you've dreamed of eating things such as french fries, burgers, pasta, wraps, but usually can't because you're gluten free or vegan! As a Celiac, I feel safe eating here because the staff are really knowledgeable about gluten... More

I'll be honest. I had very high expectations for this place. I'll be honest, again; They delivered. The tofu scramble was pure heaven. Perfect in every way. Every person at my table enjoyed their food. So good, for all types of food preferences. Service was perfect and the atmosphere could almost be the set for the sequel of Reality Bites.... More

I was very excited to go here because I had heard people ranting about it (I went here about 2 years ago, maybe it has improved since then) The service was great but the place seemed a bit ghetto. I felt gross sitting in the booths BUT I AM a germaphobe so maybe that's just me. I wasn't overly impressed... More

First time here and loved it. Really cool decor and artwork all over the walls. Had a basic breakfast and an omelette. Both were great. Saw other dishes coming out and looked amazing. Eggs bene and the poutine bacon hash is on my list for next time. Which I can see going back many times and bringing more friends. Server... More

The wall flower is a funky small restaurant with a good variety of vegan comfort foods. You could even go here with non-vegan friends and they would love it! Menu goes both ways

Visited as a family of 4, 2 of whom have coeliac disease. My 7 year old daughter has just been diagnosed and has been struggling with kids' menu options when we eat out, so she was over the moon to pretty much be able to choose anything off the menu. My husband had a Canuck burger which he said was... More

We went here with a little guy and they accommodated us with a high chair. On a Saturday morning it was packed and we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table for 4. Their regular egg and bacon dish was tasty and came with home cooked hash browns, healthy multi grain toast and a carrot salad. Our... More

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
