too much fun

What a gem in Gastown. We were there for drinks only but looked through the menu and it had something for everyone. I will definitely go back for eats. Creative bar staff with good selections and ideas. Checked it out

This is a great stop for a drink and an appie or dinner. The restaurant is small, so dinner best reserved. Our server was friendly and helpful, but left us alone to enjoy ourselves. The cocktails are standby's plus throwbacks, done very well. Loved the white negroni. The menu is deceptively simple. The salmon appie is house made gravlax, the... More

A "sophisticated bar and restaurant" in the Gastown area offering international comfort food with an elevated taste...Tuna Nicoise, to die for and the Steelhead Trout couldn't be better. A nice place with great music and surroundings

I was unable to make a reservation at the Pourhouse as they were booked up but we took a chance and went early before a concert and got right in. The room and ambience are very warm and inviting with the exposed brick and great wood beams. I was a little concerned at first as our service was quite slow... More

Went here for dinner and immediately got seated on a pretty busy night. We thought it wasn't going to be long to get food so ordered some drinks to start off that took about 30 min to get. Canceled our food order after we got ignored and passed over by multiple servers.

Maybe an odd title for a 4-star, but fair. Went with my adult son. He had the burger, and knew in advance. The server knew we were gonna have the burgers. Maybe the Sun wrote an article to say we were going to order them? They were fantastic. Rich, thick, just perfect. The bistro is modern trendy, all wood and... More

My husband and all his siblings took me here to celebrate my 50th birthday in January and what a blast we had. Wasn't expecting the food to be anything other than 'pub food', but was I ever wrong. Food was amazing and I can't wait to go back and try more things on their menu! Was crazy busy in there... More

Pourhouse is known locally both for their cocktails and slightly eccentric, yet delicious food. The cocktail list is actually quite small, so don't even look at it. Talk to your wait staff or better yet belly up at the bar and talk to the bartenders (5 of them on Saturday!). Tell them what you like or don't and be prepared... More

Distil their own spirits and match them to their meals. The steak appeared massive so I shared it. It was excellent - tender and tasty. We had the bone marrow appetiser that was incredible. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations, as well as great service.

Pourhouse is an enjoyable restaurant, I find the atmosphere to be extremely cool and the servers are friendly and have a good sense of humour. I'd say Pourhouse's downfall is that their food isn't anything special, it could be a regular stop for me if their food stood out a little more. Another thing I found odd was the size... More
