Nook was highly recommended by a friend, and his recommendation was well deserved. He is well traveled and is of the opinion that Nook is the best Italian restaurant in Canada. This is not a tomato sauce this, tomato sauce that sort of place; in other words, don't go looking for lasagna, manicotti etc. The menu is limited, consisting of... More

Nook has 2 locations now. They are both fantastic!! We like to go for bunch to the Kitsilano location. The chefs are so engaged and focused on using the best ingredients they can find (lots and lots of local ingredients). The staff is so knowledge and friendly. We go every week. Top spot in Vancouver.

We enjoyed the food, the wait was not very long. Pasta was good and we had appetizers too. Would like to see more kid friendly food. We would eat there again!

While visiting Vancouver for our first time, we found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. When we got there, we thought there was some mistake- it's small, no real special decor, but the food! Fabulous! The apps were really good, a very competent salad and excellent house made pasta. Nice beer and wine selection, great service, lots of locals (always a... More

Came across this by chance. Small menu, all freshly cooked, friendly staff but knowledgeable about menu. Good choice of Italian and BC wines. Great pizzas, daily specials illustrative of Italian origins. A wee gem of a place

Despite change in cook staff, change in flour used for making pasta, we still love this place. Chris, Brad, the gals (the wait staff) behind the bar or on the floor are great. Mark your name on the board to wait for a table or a seat at the bar (as there is typically a line up). Chris or whoever... More

This appropriately named small restaurant serves up some big time Italian food. We enjoyed everything there and would return in a heartbeat, The eclectic music selection tickled our funny bones and transported us back to the 80's. All that was missing was the mullet as we wanted to do the robot to 38-Special, John Cougar Mellencamp and Springsteen hits from... More

Love this place. The staff and the fresh food make it a must go when on Denman. We visit semi regularly and will continue to do so. We just need pizza blanco more often!

Fantastic pizza, pasta and specials. The staff are always hopping and working hard to make the evening a fun night out without making a fake show of it. Can be a bit noisy since the place is often packed with a lineup outside the door but once inside the doors you will be offered a drink until a table or... More
