Delicious Meal on our Last Night

We stopped here for dinner on our last night in Vancouver to have a delicious meal, and we were not disappointed. The food was prepared perfectly! I had the Beer Brined Rotisserie Chicken and the hubby had the lamb cheeks. The chicken was some of the best chicken I have had. The hubby enjoyed... read more

We went there on a busy Saturday night and were seated immediately. You can watch the cooks preparing your meal and the overall ambiente is nice. I've had the Schnitzel (made from veal, that's how a classical Schnitzel is made) with fried potatoes and Sauerkraut (they probably wanted to make it super German by adding Sauerkraut). It was a generous... More

.... This privately-owned modern, bustling eatery was worth a walk. Lucky to get a table for 4 at a popular time, we were not disappointed with the choice or quality of the food and drink. The atmosphere was ideal for an end-of-a-busy-day sightseeing meal where we could share experiences of our day out. Some Swiss / German cuisine was unusual... More

Great service in this quaint european restaurant! Mussels were delectable and the burger was one of the most amazing, if not the best ever tasted. The house made ketchup with secret ingredients will send your taste buds on another journey. Unique find on Davie Street that is an absolute must have. We will be back.

We went to this restaurant based on the recommendation of our B & B innkeeper and were very pleased we did. A small establishment located on bust Davie Street, it offered a combination German and French cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and the wine list was quite good. Most of the diners were locals which... More

Came here by recommendation from our hotel concierge. Exactly what were looking for. Excellent service. Very small. Burger was very very good , my husband had the lamb cheeks and loved it. You won't be disappointed.

We turned up at this small restaurant at 1091 Davie Street desperately looking for some decent food near the Best Western Downtown as we didn't want to eat in the hotel. It was a five minute walk away but well worth it. We were a group of four who hadn't booked but they fitted us in straight away. The kitchen... More

I went here with 4 of my other girlfriends not knowing what to expect, and we were thoroughly impressed! The service was delightful - everyone was so friendly and patient and happy to offer their own recommendations, and the food was beyond wonderful. I had the burger, which was a whopping pile of hangar steak, caramelized onions, and more -... More

It's my second visit to La Brasserie during a business trip and I'm totally smitten. The food is spectacular, the service - impeccable, the atmosphere - hugging, elegant and not pretentious. Love love love it. Last time I had the tartar for a first, the lamb cheeks for main and a dessert I can't remember exactly - it was a... More

Lots of reviews seem to like this place. I was not impressed. The craft beer list was good but the food was was lacking. The Schweinebraten was a paltry few thin slices of pork with a plateful of sauerkraut. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing because some of the other dishes looked much better.
