The setting is lovely and perfect for a nice afternoon enjoying High Tea. The resident piano Player is there Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. His music is superb, playing a lively variety of old and new tunes. Charming!! The server could have been a bit more attentive. The scones were not as nice as they have been on other visits.... More

Kinda disappointed when we got seated on a high chair table which was so uncomfortable! Me and my friends ordered the same tea and they just gave us a super huge heavy tea pot that we cld barely able to lift it. Lol imagine u are cooking with 5 qt cast iron at home. This is seriously super heavy! Staff... More

My brother-in-law and I ate the sushi and both of us got very sick the next day. He later said he felt he detected a slightly off taste. No more sushi for me.

The lounge is beautiful, but that's the only positive thing at the Xi Shi for our High Tea. The service was mediocre to poor, let's just say nonattentive. When you have tea, you expect the tea to be hot, not luke warm. The waitress took my teapot and cup and return with a dirty cup, gross! The selection and variety... More

Great little tea lounge in of course one of the luxury hotels in Vancouver. I had high tea here with my girlfriend on a Monday afternoon. Our reservation was at 1215 and it was not very busy. There were a 4 other parties at the same time. The food and tea were great, my only comment is to the service.... More

The service was awful. The server's had a hard time speaking and understanding English. We reserved a table for 4 where 2 of us ordered from the afternoon tea menu, and other two ordered off the lunch menu and for some reason they did not bring the food and afternoon tea tiers at the same time. It was literally, 15... More

I am not one to "suck up" to any establishment in hopes of incurring favourable treatment upon my next visit. It's not my style. So allow me to be blunt. If you are looking for a place to entertain business clients, visiting relatives or friends, then Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver's Lobby Lounge; Xi Shi, should be short listed as a place... More

After a meeting at Shangri-La, we went for drinks at Xi Shi Lounge. It has a funky atmosphere for an after work drink and even has a DJ playing hip music (5-7pm Thursdays & Fridays only). We all enjoyed our martinis and cocktails and the most amazing savoury popcorn! I don't know what was on it, but it disappeared and... More

This has been our best high tea experience since we moved to Vancouver in 1987. Far better than the Empress in Victoria or other similar highly ranked establishments. The quality of the food was incredible as you could literally savour every single bite of food. The selection of teas is phenomenal, classic and exotic : rose petals, Lychee.. just to... More
