Yummy!

Great food and a nice conversation with the owner, we came back a week later to eat there again. Lots of variety and you can have a lot of different dishes, like Tapas.

Interesting urban decor and very friendly staff but food a mixed bag. Tapas cold cuts lacking in flavour and very small quantities. Salads had lists of interesting ingredients but had to dig around to find anything in the greenery! Beef ribs were excellent however though slow coming out.

A little pricey if you are starving, but the food was so good, and our server was outstanding. Next time we have to try the meatballs. We saw them ordered by the table next to us, but by then we were stuffed. Expect to spend about $50-$60 per person with drinks included.

We love tapas places and this one is exceptionally good! We stayed at the Worldmark on Hornby, so The Refinery was only a couple of blocks away. We started with a Thistle cocktail (specialty cocktails are not cheap, but this was delicious!), then the golden beets, roast duck breast, and stuffed portobello mushroom...I really wish we had been hungry enough... After reading such fantastic reviews, I decided to try out the Refinery myself, and I was very much impressed! I took my boyfriend here for our monthly dinner date, and right away was impressed by the decor. The restaurant itself is small, but the design has a cool feel to it, while remaining quite comfortable. We sat in the back... More

As a visitor to Vancouver I was looking through the hotel's booklets and noticed this little ad for The Refinery which was nearby. So glad I took a chance - great tapas foods, reminded me of restaurants in Europe, fabulous wine selection and great "vibe". Have recommended to many friends travelling to Van and plan to go back next time... More

At the stroke of midnight I wanted to bring my birthday in with a bang! Thank God I choose the right place. I was told to go upstairs to "Sip" to lounge. The DJ was playing 90s R&B I was in heaven. The champagne and desert I had were great too. I was so sad they weren't open on my... More

We took our son here for his birthday and missed the Dine Out Vancouver by one day. The manager, who clearly did not want us to be disappointed, comp'ed us the lovely mixed charcuterie board. The bartender knows his work and made us cocktails we enjoyed. It was discount night on bourbon so I had a manhattan. The four of... More

We went to the Refinery with a Living Social coupon that was too amazing to pass up. It was our first time here, and the prices are quite high, but the quality of food and the designer cocktails need to be tried! They specialize in small plates with big taste! If you're looking for a special occasion venue, this is... More

Yes, this restaurant does exist but it's hard to find. We walked past twice before spotting the sign. Menu specializes in shared plates, and our server encouraged us to order a variety and to share. We had cheese board, lamb chops, pork belly, salad, and ribs, plus a couple of bread orders, and that kept four of us happy. With... More
