We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

We visited the restaurant on a sunday night. The staff was friendly, helpful and generous with their time. I appreciated the possibility to sample different wines before ordering. The 7-course Shokai menu was a great way to sample the kitchen's variety. The green tea dessert that was a part of the menu was very refreshing and rich in flavor. All... More

We were advised to eat at Miku because we were told the fish was wonderful. And it really is! But not only was it mouthwateringly wonderful, but the provenance was matched by the smiling efficiency of the great staff there too. And did I mention the view from the panoramic windows? If you like fish Japanese style, then Miku is... More

Our friends took us out to dinner at Miku while we were visiting Vancouver. The restaurant is very nice and suitable for a special occasion. We ate a lot of amazing sushi and the other dishes were excellent. It is not a cheap restaurant but it delivers on all accounts. The flame seared salmon (oburi oshi) was my favourite dish

Came here on a dinner date with mom and it was a really nice experience. We sat out on the patio which was a bit chilly but with a great view! We ordered a seafood platter which was really fresh and came with tasty sides. We also ordered a few rolls and were able to half them to mix and... More

fantastic place to come for a special occasion. Service was superb. Rolls were delicious, particularly the dragon roll. Soba also a must have dish as were the tempura prawn appetizers. We celebrated my parents 60th anniversary and the team worked hard to ensure my parents were well looked after and well satisfied. Well deserve their high TripAdvisor rating!

I make a point of visiting this place at least once every time I'm in Vancouver. Best sushi I've ever had though you definitely pay for it.

Had a business lunch. Reserved table in advance. A good idea since the place was full. I am calling the food modern Japanese with west coast flare. Seafood is fresh and well prepared with presentation. I tried the scallops and prawn entree and was very impressed. Screams healthy. Rice was fab. Atmosphere is good. Service was friendly but has room... More

My husband and I recently had lunch at Miku. It was a Saturday and surprisingly busy - I was glad we had made reservations. I had the Miku Zen which is four items chosen by the chef and five pieces of sushi, including Aburi sushi, and miso soup. My husband had the premium sushi lunch which is a selection of... More
