Description: We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

Situated beside Canada place overlooking the water and North Vancouver make Miku extra special. Add to that great lighting, Haida Art and a bustling sushi bar make this a hip yet welcoming dining experience. Our fantastic waiter explained to us all about sake and we tried the sake flight for $19.00. The appetizers and main aburi signature dishes were artfully... More

Asked the wait staff to bring our lunch...their choice. We would tell them to stop when sated. Well, it was fantastic and we shall visit Miku again and tell our friends about it.

Best sushi place period. It will ruin all other sushi for you. You will crave it all day everyday! I almost regret going here because I'm a full blown addict now. I've taken so many people here ESP to try their signature flame grilled sushi. Amazing, beautiful and just plain delish! Not at all overpriced for the quality of the... More

I happened to be in Vancouver for the Dine Out promotions that the restaurants across the city do. I chose Miku based on its great reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! Choosing a seat along the "sushi bar", I could watch the chefs work their magic as I waited for my food to be prepared. They were incredibly clean as they... More

Not only the best experience of a four day trip to Vancouver, probably one the best meals I'll have this year. The sushi is different - lightly braised and fused with local ingredients - so our server offered to put together our meal for the three of us. She brought out a half roll (three pieces) of every kind of... More

I believe this is the strangest sushi place of the world. Service very poor. I was alone and they told me to be in waiting list . I looked at the bar and it was empty. So I told them that I was going to the bar... The told me that the bar was reserved for the people that were... More

For "fusion" food, one might think this is passé, but no, this is a fresh new take on fusion for the 21st century. Well, at least this part of it. The soba pepperoncino is amazing, the sashimi and sushi are like none other. No puffing up a roll with dull rice, this is the art of flavor and texture combining... More

Miku is consistently amazing. I've now actually flown from Calgary to Vancouver just to go for dinner. Seriously. That's how amazing it is. Flame kissed fish is unique, and the sashimi the freshest and best quality fish I've ever had. Sitting on the patio in the summer is great, they have blankets for warmth and the view of the harbor...
