We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

First time in Vancouver and first meal in the city. We nailed it by happening upon Miku. The view, cocktails and service are all fantastic (we sat at the bar--while the view from here is technically just of the bartenders, they are quite skillful and pleasant). And the food! Aburi style? We been here a number of times and the food is very good and consistent. If you are trying this restaurant for the first time, I would recommend the Miku Zen. We have tried other items and they are very good as well.

Located just behind the sea terminal building (with the four 'sails') we had good view to the harbour. The food was excellent. On advice from our very friendly and professional hostess, Miki, we chose the special sushi composition of the day. Wonderful presentation and great tastes. Because we love Japanese food we also shared a sashimi composition between the two... More

The sushi here was the best I had during my entire stay in Vancouver. It is well worth going out of your way to come here. The restaurant is near the waterfront, across from the Pan Pacific hotel so not really in the centre of Gastown but you're there in 5 mins. And the waterfront also provides a very nice... More

I went here for a business dinner, and I could not hear my companion. I am still not sure if we communicated on the business that we went there to discuss. Food was OK, nothing special. I am handicapped and the access ramp and elevator were not user friendly or convenient. My wheelchair did not fit in the restaurant so... More

I am a sushi lover and this place had some of the best sushi dishes I've had. The dishes were unique and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We had the tasting menu which included a delicious sashimi appetizer, sable fish entree, a sushi plate featuring the seared sushi they are famous for. We enjoyed the sashimi and sushi the most - the sable fish was good, but not at the same level as the sushi. The desserts were very creative and well prepared. Overall, it was a... More

My husband and I ate dinner here one night because it had great reviews that mentioned unusual sushi selections. It is apparently very popular because it was very full that night, and we were glad we had reservations. The sushi was incredible and tasty, according to my husband, so I am glad we went. I was very disappointed in the... More
