Description: We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

Vancouver is an amazing city and Miku is by far one of the best sushi restaurants in Canada. The view from the restaurant is awesome as you watch sea planes landing on Vancouver harbor. You are also able to view the city of north vancouver from your table. Before I discuss the food, I must commend the service which was... More

Best sushi in with a view, perfect for date nights or a night on the town. I love that it's not in busy Yaletown, the food is always made to perfection. Make reservations though, this place is always jam packed! Well worth the wait!

This place is amazing. Simply put, the attention put on the meal is extraordinary. The omakase is very well presented with a very attentive server, Tomas. However, it is not without flaws, I will summarize the pros and cons below: Pros: highlights of the meal included one of the best lobsters i've ever had, presented in a lobster salad. To... More

The best Japanese kitchen ever - we had a reservation made for 9pm (one of the latest shifts) but it keeps busy all the time. It is not cheap, but price versus the very high quality of the food well balanced. Good service. Sashimi of yellow tail superb! Tast explosion of raw fish, followed by some red wave and miku... More

Right across the street from Fairmont waterfront is this gem. Busy, busy, busy...Quickly it becomes obvious why. We were lucky to be immediately nestled in to the only two available seats at the bar. The concept of the restaurant that has an open kitchen is very inviting and reassuring. The bar staff is juggling a great amount of tasks simultaneously.... More

While staying at the Fairmont just happened to ask where a good sushi place was and they mentioned Miku so we walked over to it and I must say some of the best I've had. Staff was very friendly

Miku is a must stop. If you have but one night in Vancouver - eat here! MAKE RESERVATIONS as this is the hottest restaurant in town by far. Regarding the title above - being a Caucasian-American - I can honestly tell you that wee were the exceptional diners as 97%+ of the dining crowd was indeed Asian. Point being that... More

This was the first place we wanted to try when in Vancouver. Unfortunately, after checking into our hotel and walking the 15 minutes here for a late lunch, we found they had literally had a pipe burst just a few minutes before and were shutting down the restaurant. When we returned a day later, all was well and the sushi,... More

This is one of the best meals we have ever had. Dinner was so good we went back for lunch today. Order the chef's special where they give you a mixture. It is divine. The fish is so fresh it literally melts in your mouth.
