We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

Before going to the Auto Show, we decided to have lunch at Miku. Heard so many good things about it and just never had the chance to go until today. They were busy but we managed to get seats at the bar. Food was great and the staff was nice. The presentation was excellent and the food was delicious. A... More

Service was great, as was sushi, shabu shabu, and dessert. Nice view on the waterfront but very popular so reserve ahead if you want a good table! Has classics and new twists, specializes in aburi sushi (partly grilled), highly recommended - we got the salmon and was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For dessert I had the green tea opera which was as... More

Our dinner here was fantastic. Good recommendations from the waiter that were every bit as good as he said they would be and pretty besides. The nigiri cuts were great, rolls unusual and delicious. We'll be back for sure

the food was very good and presentation appealing. Had Sable fish for the first time and enjoyed it. The waiter was extremely irritating..., had to explain very thing on the menu for reasons unknown, he was determined to tell us what his favourite dish was (who cares) and was generally arrogant in dealing with us. People do not like to... More

This is my fav Japanese restaurant. I eat here every time I'm in Vancouver. Everything on the menu is delish. The restaurant is by the water so it has a very nice view. I can't wait to try their new location in Toronto. I hope it'll be just as good.

My wife and I went for lunch. The waiter felt he had to explain everything to us and the pattern was repeated with any wait staff. The food was great but expensive. Our lunch came to $80 without any alcohol. The food was well presented and interesting. I ordered the Miku Zen, which a combination of sushi, salad, tempura, fish,... More

We enjoyed our evening at Miku. We had a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. We were 2 and found the waitstaff very accommodating suggesting way to split some of the dishes so we had an opportunity to try more items. We had several of the Aburi specials and a manila clam special. The service was just... More
