We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly sear is known to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. Miku owner, Seigo Nakamura, innovated the Aburi concept by creating speciality sauces, using non-traditional Japanese ingredients, to complement the unique taste properties of each fish. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Trade & Exhibition Centre, IMAX Theatre, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus. If shopping downtown, join us for lunch and re-energize. It's entrance is at the corner of Howe Street and Canada Place Way, overlooking the east cruiseship terminal at Canada Place. **Please note: We do not take reservations for the patio as it is a first come, first serve basis. We also only will hold reservations for an additional 15 minutes.

A Beautiful and Delicious Meal

I'd been hearing good things about this restaurant, so I came in with high expectations. It was difficult to get a booking, even on a Monday night, but I'm so glad that I persisted. My friend and I just enjoyed one of the Kaiseki menus (set menu, served on artisanal plates and so forth). We... read more

The flame seared sushi here is a definite must try! It is pricey and difficult to get a table, but worth the effort.

This review is based on the horrendous, awful, and most terrible service we received from Sabrina the assistant GM. We were in Vancouver to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette and the Shangri-La recommended Miku for our group dinner of 11 girls. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were greeted by Sabrina who noticed the bride with her veil and sash.... More

Tried to book online. Didn't work. Called and book reservation for 5. Menu prices don't say per person and also get nailed 18% gratuity charge even though menu states only if 7 or more in party. We had 5. Thought meal was going to be $118 as per menu but got bill and was $772

Hello, Please understand that our Aburi Kaiseki experience requires 72-hours advance notice, in which specific paperwork is required to set up the reservation. However, upon your arrival, your group asked our chefs if the Aburi Kaiseki experience could be done. Normally, we would not fulfill such a request last minute, but since you were out of town and truly wished... More

A very trendy restaurant where people want to be seen. Busy but as a single guest you still get the attention and service you would want. And the food is so fresh and tasteful. No ordinary Sushi. Chefs in Miku give a modern twist to the Sushi and Sashimi. It is worth the wait

Excellent service, great food, reasonable prices. The only negative is that it's a fairly big restaurant and they seat a lot of people so the noise level was a bit high. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience. Would definitely return!

This is an outstanding place to enjoy delicious food and an extraordinary view. The menu is varied and fantastic. Our waitress was Annie and made the visit for us. She was knowledge about the menu even pointing out the "staff favorites" which I always think are must haves. Everything we ordered was well presented and tasted fantastic. This is a... More

My wife and I just got back from our first visit to Miku on a perfect evening to watch the Suns go down while sitting outside enjoying the view. What a great meal from the service including the hostess texting me when the table was ready to our server who shared with us his enthusiasm for Miku. The sushi was... More

Japanese food noobs being looked after by our Uncle Mike we were utterly blown away by this place. The craft that goes into making the food and the flavours are amazing - a real treat. Service was great, the view over the harbour (with seal, tugs manouvering supertanker, seaplanes) was fascinating. Yeah, a bit noisy but that's atmosphere, right? Only... More
