A great go to Italian Restaurant!

I have have always found Cibo to be a really good Italian restaurant. I can certainly attest to the pastas in this place because I have had them all probably twice over so far as well as their pasta specials. Can't say I have ever had a less than stellar meal and don't get me started on the... read more

Went there on a rainy Tuesday night to celebrate the birth of a grandchild. Once you enter off Seymour you are in a different world. Very nicely decorated, nice ambiance, warmly greeted. The menu is not huge, but everything we tried was really excellent. We started with oysters on the half shell - beautifully fresh with a vinegary sauce and... More

We were in the city for my 50th birthday and my husband found this place on Trip Advisor, so we decided to try it out for dinner our first night in! Wow, what can I say....totally amazing! So intimate, but not too fussy! Food was spot on and the wine menu was incredible! We tried several starters and then a... More

My mother & I stayed at the Moda hotel, which is connected to Cibo, so we got to go there for breakfast twice & decided to check it out for dinner once. The breakfasts we ordered were awesome, but just beware - it's italian! - so you're not a seasoned modern up-scale traveler, you might not recognize a lot of... More

This restaurant was very overpriced for the quality / quantity of food. We did love the arugula goat cheese salad, the spiced almonds were great. When we asked our server for pepper, she dropped a wood pepper mill on the table. Odd wine list with only one overpriced Italian pinot grigio. This is a North American take on Italian food.... More

Wasn't our first choice, but glad we did come. Excellent staff, very knowledgable on their Italian wines. Food was very good. One thing that stands out for me, it's not huge. So the noise level isn't crazy like so many other places downtown. I can see just the two of us coming back to enjoy a longer wine and dine... More

Conveniently located across from the Orpheum, this Italian restaurant serves high quality cuisine in a small cozy room. My husband and I started with the pappardelle with mushrooms. A tasty start to our dinner. The highlight was the Brick Chicken, marinated for 9 hours in herbs and garlic. Ambrosia!!! Served with creamy fingerling potatoes and woodland mushrooms, this is a... Hosted a 12 person private dinner and asked for non Italian wine pairings. The sommelier was probably one of the best, most gracious wine experts I've encountered. The food was amazing. Wait until I tell you about the flourless chocolate dessert. The wine pairings were very well done. Highlights were something from Bulgaria - who knew and and an amazing... More

When we arrived and the Maitre D made a big show of checking that we really did have a reservation, even with many empty tables, I had a bit of a bad feeling about this place, and the phony pretentious decor was a turn off too, but when I asked the waitress which she recommended, the Polenta dish or the... The menu was great, very difficult to choose from many dishes that sounded excellent. We started with oysters, very fresh and nicely shucked. Next, pastas, one really good, the other average. The main course of brick chicken was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, and the accompanying fingerling potatoes as good as they get. Desserts very good as well. They... More
