Based on what I read on here, I did wonder about this place. To each their own. We loved it. It isn't pretentious, it's wonderful. The wine list is the closest to them "showing off"..but they don't hold a gun to your head when you select, my wife and I always order BC wines. If you want other really expensive... More

We visited CIBO based on a recommendation of our hosts and from the moment we introduced till we left we were made to feel very much at home by all the staff. The menu is very interesting and the wine list has been expertly created by the Sommelier, Robert. Local sparkling chardonay -riesling was a perfect accompaniment for our entrees... More

Great selection of wines. Good service. Food was average, some people in the group found the food on the greasy side and too salty.

While the fishers were excellent lived up to its billing, the service was lacklustre. Rather disappointing; in fact almost shocking. In light of the cost of menu items (including the mandatory charge of $2/person to be served filtered water), the service gets very low marks. If you are going to going to spend $50-75/person, I would recommend you go elsewhere.

Excellent Service, Creative Food, Great Atmos A very nice small bistro. Excellent professional servers. The maitre 'd had some interesting wine suggestions. Crostini a must. Would also be great as a tapas with a drink. Pastas interesting and tasty. Lovely friendly setting. Five star experience.

Walking by decide to try out Cibo Love it's fresh local and seasonal, everything is hand made daily, no freezer on the premises. Our fantastic server Terri made the night more special with her recommendations for our palate. Not cheap, recommend if you want to treat yourself to delicious, nutritious food.

We visited Cibo on a Sunday afternoon prior to a Symphony performance. My daughter chose the restaurant based on information re healthy, locally sourced ingredients and positive reviews. We both chose the frittata, which arrived with potatoes and sourdough bread. The serving was generous but the quality less than memorable. Also, while our server was very pleasant, the service was... Went to this restaurant around Christmas time with work colleagues. I had the tagliatelle with sausage and thought it was very good. Good selection of Italian wines. Looking forward to visiting this restaurant again.

Like some other reviewers, we went to this restaurant because we were going to the Vancouver Symphony at the Orpheum, which is kitty corner to Cibo. The waiter was good: friendly and attentive. The service however was slow, even though we were went 1:45 hour before the concert, we ended up barely getting to our seats in time (literally one... More
