Waffles and Chocolate

Get here early and hungary. Start with coffee with fresh Waffles and Belgium Chocolate. Relax for a bit and enjoy the Cafe, now plunge into a World of stunning food all Organic and locally sourced, as good as it gets in Vancouver.

This place was all over the board. Our group walked away happy overall, but… they don't quite have it all together for a five star rating. So, the good: ah-maz-ing food. truly. Everyone in our group loved the inventive, fresh and tasty brunch items (and we are a hard group to please). Between us, we has the cassoulet, frittata, burger,... More

Wish we could have made a reservation but as luck would have it, we walked right in before a crowd gathered behind us. This is our second trip to Cafe Medina and we will definitely be back. The Libonais was a light, yet satisfying breakfast, while the Tagine was hearty and packed with flavor. The side of fruit could stand... More

Great cafe, worth the wait. Being from Melbourne I've being missing good coffee but this place has fantastic coffee! I had the eggs dish with meatballs, the tomato sauce is full of flavour - delicious. Waffles are amazing too!

I was really confused by this place, the menu (though overpriced) looked great, it came recommended from a fellow traveller but when I was there there was an abundance of staff hurrying around without seeming to actually do anything, I didn't get any service and got very frustrated.

Be prepared to wait for a table as it is very popular! But it's worth the wait! The staff write your name down on the list and give you waiting time so you know how long you're in for waiting. The granola and yogurt is delightful! Nice little place.

Our favorite meal in Vancouver...hands down! Our brunch was worth the wait! We had the tagine and another yummy egg dish. This place had a mysterious maze type of feel to it with little rooms and unexpected hallways. We were seated in one of the back rooms with a lot of natural light...it was a wonderful experience. While waiting to... More

We stayed a few days in Vancouver recently on our way to Whistler, and Medina's came highly recommended prior to going. I quickly realised why - yes its busy and you might have to wait (the second time we went on a Saturday morning we arrived 10 mins before it opened at 9am and there was a large queue waiting... From my blog 50in52Vancouver.blogspot.com: We arrived at Cafe Medina on a Monday at 11AM and there were about 25 people waiting outside in a crowd...not a perfectly neat line, as you'd see in Montreal at places like l'Avenue or Prohibition or Beauty's. We weren't sure what to do, since clearly these people were waiting to get in, but there didn't... More

This was our third visit to Cafe Medina; very popular and almost always a bit of a wait. Fabulous coffee - and their menu is interesting and unique. The paella is fabulous - eggs sunnyside up on a bed of lightly curried orzo....chunks of slightly spicy chorizo and veggies, served up with a side salad of watercress, avocado and tomato.... More
