What a great experience. I don't get to see family often and arranged to meet with a large group (11) at Salam Bombay, for dinner. The quality of the food was excellent and the flavours were great. Each dish had a distinct flavour, which is not always the case at some Indian restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful,... More

I don't often eat Indian food and don't claim to be a connoisseur but I tried this restaurant out with a group of eleven and all agreed on the tastiness of the food. It was a quiet Tuesday night on my visit and we found the staff very attentive but not intrusive. There seemed to be a genuine concern as... More

While in Vancouver recently I tried the Salam Bombay Restaurant and was very impressed with the quality of food. The flavours were incredible, service was exceptional and the location is great. The restaurant is located above ground level so the views of the City and surrounding stores are fantastic. I had the butter chicken, rice, and garlic naan. Everything was... More

Came here with a bunch of friends on the off chance, with many of the "major" restaurants in town booked out on a Saturday evening (well, it was Grey Cup!). And what a good chance it was. Excellent waiter giving us good recommendations, and the food was wonderful. Good prices, nice atmosphere. Only slight down (and this is not their... More

This was my first time to this restaurant. My wife and I thought is was quite comfortable, not extemely appealing to the eyes but with great service and authentic tasting Indian food. Our waiter was very helpful explaining a few different dishes and when the food arrived, it was very tasty and in good portions. I asked if they had... More

I like to think of myself as a bit of an Indian food connoisseur, having eaten Indian food weekly for the past 20 years in numerous areas of the UK including brick lane and Birmingham both famous for their quality of Indian cuisine. The food at Salam Bombay was excellent, everything from the poppadoms to the keema naan - fantastic.... More

There were no exotic items on the menu. This place had the usual staples of a north Indian cuisine style restaurant. However, the food was well executed and service was quite good. The food came fast, but tasted fresh. Servers were attentive and quick to respond. Desserts were above average. We would go again.

Popped in here early evening on a very wet Thursday evening. The manager could not be more helpful in taking my coat and suggesting certain dishes. Beer was served promptly (crickey, a large Kingfisher is pricey in Vancouver) and the food followed reasonably promptly too. Authenticity, quality and quantity were all spot on. When I am back in Vancouver, I... More

Salam Bombay has always been a must for my husband and I when we are in Vancouver. No longer. We visited Salam Bombay a few days ago and everything had changed. So much so, that we asked if ownership had changed hands. It had not. It seems they have renovated. We ordered the prawn pakora. It was disappointing. What used... More

Another one of those Fake Reviews. Fun reading it. To begin with you have projected yourself as TanyaD2011 from Scottsdale, Australia but simply looking at your reviews looks like you should have mentioned yourself as from Scottsdale, Arizona. If you are from Arizona say so and feel proud about it. It was so kind of you to be very sympathetic... More
