Trattoria Italian Kitchen is a vibrant, restaurant, where contemporary design unites with casual Italian dining and a focus on sharing. Service is relaxed, knowledgeable and welcoming. Nice lunch on a quiet day.

Met a friend for lunch at this often very busy restaurant and luckily for us it was a quiet day. The restaurant can be noisy when it's full but we arrived early so missed the busy rush. The service was very good - friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The food was very good. I had the... read more

We eat here a couple of times each year, and we have not had one negative experience in terms of food preparation or service. My only beef is that it can get very noisy!!! It is a great eating place.

Went here on the first night in Canada. I had a seafood salad which consisted of Salmon, Prawns, Tuna, Arugula (Rocket) and quinoa. Was lovely and around 20 CA$. Highly recommend. The pizzas and pasta also looked excellent!

Food was just ok. Watch 2 tables come and leave before we got out meal! Got a sorry and the kitchen is swamped...not swamped enough to bring out everyone else's food apparently. I've never understood why restaurants can't handle when they are at 75% plus capacity. Why are there always screw ups and long waits and so on. It's it... More

Excellent appetizers, very bland main course. Nice and well priced wine. Great atmosphere. Good service. Shame about the main courses - won't return unless its just for appetizers and wine!

First time there. The interior is very attractive and classy. I had lamb and it was excellent..they had mint jelly for it, some places skip this. Everything was very tasty, we will go back for sure. We came five minutes before they open and they were very accommodating and let us in early.

It's tough competition for Italian restaurants in Vancouver, so I went in expecting to be unimpressed. I was disappointed: it was actually very good! Not being ravenous after popcorn at the movies around the corner, I contented myself with the calamari and a cocktail (the basil & cucumber gin smash). Both were excellent -- the calamari were not overcooked, were... More

Two families out for celebratory dinner, total six adults. Reservations made 4 days ago were not to be found, but seated anyways. Service was slow, drinks orders were mixed up by server, waited almost 45 minutes to be served, and one diner was served when most of us were almost finished our plates. A manager came by and we told... More

I came for dinner on pasta Tuesday with a girlfriend of mine. Ordered a bottle of San Pellegrino and a glass of wine. The San Pellegrino never materialized but she brought us tap water. We both had the lasagna. Mine was cold. This is the second one I have been to this restaurant and probably my last. Service wasn't great... More

A comfortable place to hang out with friends. The server was friendly and helpful. A good place for pasta lover. The macaroni was delicious. And I would strongly recommend the tagliatella. It is really wide and tasty!

Staying in South Granville

Neighborhood Profile
South Granville
The neighbourhood closest to the airport, a generous mix of locals and tourists populate the area. The blend has made it a go-to spot to find an eclectic collection of entertainment, from theatres and cinemas, to antique stores and last-minute kitsch souvenir shops. It gives off a transient vibe, and is one of the more higgledy-piggledy areas in terms of what you'll find, making it a fun area to explore and map out, all while taking in the hectic atmosphere of people coming and going, while others look for the best ways to spend their last few hours in the city.
