Didn't expect the place to be that busy early on a Monday night. It was pizza night for ten bucks so I guess that draws in a few that wouldn't otherwise show up. Had been craving Greek food recently and they proffer a lot of it. Asked for the Saganaki and Roast Lamb which brings me in at about 3X... More

Well, the service is good, but the food is just plain tasteless and uninspired. The roast lamb was salty and otherwise lacking in flavour, the hummus runny and the pita breads seem like they come from a package. I keep trying this place because I like the location and the building and because it seems to survive year after year.... More

As a no nonsense "Brit" I felt quite at home in this neighbourhood "pub". The menu had a Greek feel and the food not at all bad, the service was good and attentive and value good.

Great spot for a beer and good food on trendy Main Street. We were drawn in by the amazing aroma coming from the kitchen and we weren't disappointed. Above average Pub style decore that shuns the cookie cutter style that is so common today. Very good scotch and local beer selection, and our waitress was excellent. Highly recommended.

The Main is a great place because of its consistency, ever meal I've had hear has been awesome. Not only that but The Main boasts a classy atmosphere, friendly service and a good selection of beer on tap. Plus it's one of the few places in Vancouver that accepts debit!

Went there with some friends and we were quite surprised it was a Greek style cuisine. Think my main wasn't the right option (had a veggie burger that was a little burnt). My friends said their mains were good tho. Service could've been more attentive.

Wanted a little Greek, so ordered the chicken souvlaki. Pretty standard - nothing bad, but not extraordinary. The tzatziki sauce was better than average. Service was great. If you want the basics, this is a place to get it. I'd go back.

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
