The guys that own this place have tried to bring the best of every dish from every country around the world. You can eat dishes from Africa, Asia, and South America here. Surprisingly every dish is pretty solid with the best being the beef bourgignon or the grilled cheese sandwich

the kitchen side had a couple of hiccups. Don't get me wrong, the waitress was great, it just took a fairly long time to get the food, and one member of our party ordered a chicken salad that arrived with no chicken. Once they corrected the error, the food was very, very good. Standouts include their French Onion Soup, the... More

Our son lives in Vancouver right near this excellent restaurant so when we visited in August he took us there for dinner. The place was crowded especially the patio which is in front of the restaurant so right close to the busy street. People didn't seem to mind. My husband had the Kentucky Burgoo which had a variety of meats.... More

This restaurant serves a variety of comfort goods. I ordered the Dos Diablos sandwich and Crab Bisque soup. The sandwich was made on grilled house baguette with creamy melted white Cheddar, chunks of spicy Chorizo sausage and roasted red pepper. It was delicious. The soup was also very good but not as good as the sandwich. Sandwich rated a 5/5... More

Friends took me here for dinner. I loved the cosy atmosphere but the meal felt even cosier. Well-made, from scratch, wholesome comfort food... This place serves it up. I can't wait to come back here.

I ate here twice on this trip. Kentucky Burgoo (17) is a sort of stew and comes in a dish, unaccompanied by anything else. I had it for lunch and It was OK but the constituents were cut up too fine. On the second (dinner) visit I had Beef Bourgiognon (18) which I preferred. With either one you'll probably want... More

Delicious comfort food! Everything is very yummy. Their drinks are great as well. The only flaw is how tiny this place is.

We stopped in at Burgoo between sporting events: the BC Lions game at BC Place and the Vancouver Canadians Baseball game at Nat Bailey. Burgoo is always busy; we were fortunate that a rainy day had transformed to brilliant sunshine just as we arrived and they opened up the patio. Regardless, the food is always worth a wait at this... This restaurant is a sure thing if classic comfort food is what you're looking for. I've been many times in the last 4 years tried many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The cheese fondues are great share plates, the Sangria in the summer is so refreshing, last night a few of us shared a couple desserts... More
