Great meal

Today I visited with a friend “Salsa and Agave” for dinner. Originally, we were planning to eat in the Chinatown area. But since the skytrain had some kind of emergency that caused huge delays, and we planned to watch “Stickboy”, an interesting modern opera about bullying at the Roundhouse in... read more

Friendly service. Fresh food and traditional modern Mexican decor. Really worth the visit and always busy. Right near the water front and many other local attractions

Came with a group of 8 ladies. This was a very small place so it was great they could accommodate us. People were streaming in the entire time which just shows how great the food is. Food and drinks were tasty and very well priced. Everyone loved it.

I was craving Mexican. This place got good reviews. And I like me some good Mexican food, so off I went. A lot of why I like Mexican food is the chips and salsa. When they showed up with the chips and salsa I was amazed at how small the portion was. I think there were literally 12 - 15... More

Great little spot for authentic Mexican food. Busy with locals who know genuine Mexican sabor (flavour). Not an extensive menu but all that you need to replicate that small Mexican restaurant experience. Tacos remind me of bus stop street food. Their picante is too die for. But watch out super spicy. Great spot for a weekend lunch.

Had the lunch special- Azteca soup with a tostada. Really great value for the cost. The soup is really to die for, I honestly would return just for the soup! Service was friendly and quick. A great lunch spot.

Came to this location while visiting a friend in the area who took us here to cater to our Mexican food craving. The service was exceptionally friendly and the margaritas were very good. The food, on the other hand, was a much different story. The appetizer (Choriqueso) did not taste fresh and had the texture of sitting under a heat... More

Small restaurant which included an outdoor seating area. we got there around 615 pm on a friday night and it wasn't very busy. Wait staff were very friendly and service was great. Was looking forward to some really good mexican food based on all the reviews but we were very disappointed. served a few chips (about 8 in a small... More

We grabbed dinner and drinks at Salsa & Agave while in Vancouver. It was suggested by our hotel. The place was super busy with a line of folks waiting for a table. The place is rather small with a few tables inside and some outside. We were able to sit outside that evening and it was fun to people watch... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
