Description: Surveying the panoramic vistas from the westernmost point of Tofino’s...
Surveying the panoramic vistas from the westernmost point of Tofino’s idyllic Chesterman Beach, The Pointe Restaurant’s Refined West Coast cuisine and attentive service come gift-wrapped with 240 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, surrounding islands and wildlife. Much of the fresh seafood is fished from the very waters overlooked by The Pointe, and a longstanding focus on locally sourced, high quality ingredients is evident. Dinner is offered on a seasonal à la carte menu, but for the best of the best, try Chef de Cuisine Nick Nutting’s weekly tasting menu; Daily brunch is a true treat. Out of the ordinary desserts reflect an innovative Pastry program where most everything - from bread to butter to scrumptious chocolate croissants are housemade. An extensive wine list, recognized yearly by Wine Spectator magazine, showcases BC’s finest selections with a broad range of international bottlings. Over 100 Scotch Whiskies and a creative cocktail menu can be savoured in the comfortable On the Rocks Lounge. A true taste of Rustic Elegance On Nature’s Edge - and the West Coast’s best views - are on the menu at The Pointe Restaurant and On the Rocks Lounge.

I always am a little nervous about eating alone, because you tend to be ignored, but the service here was astonishing. Formal, without being severe, welcoming, and with a solid ability to tell what the person (I) needed. The drinks were great, but the food was one of the best meals I have ever had. The beet and huckleberry desert... More

I was so excited coming here.. Beautiful room. We sit and order 1/2 bottle of wine for me. Beer for husband and pop for jR. They were brought to the table. Beer to husband, pop to JR. Wine placed in ice bucket with glass at the end of the table unopened. Server leaves. We wait. Girl brings some bread. A... More

The service from the time we arrived was fabulous. This establishment has been rated very high for very long period of time. The first time I went to this place 10 years ago I was amazed at the service and the food. On my recent visit I was not disappointed. They have been able to keep the quality of the food... More

Beautiful dining room and stunning 270-degree view. Dinner was very good, with some unusual items and pairings. Brunch was even better, with a nice combination of straightforward breakfast items and some solid lunch fare. Definitely on the expensive side, but with limited alternatives, it is a strong option.

We have eaten several times at the Wick. Every meal and a snack or two! The food, no matter the chef has always been innovative and delicious. The wine list is extensive with a great local selection. The service though. Amazing! Fabulous staff. They make you feel at home almost immediately. We always go back whether we are guests of... More

Treated ourselves to dinner here recently. Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the amazing views this restaurant boasts over hanging the Pacific, however the ambience was still there with the large circular fire place in the centre of the room and the uplighting and candle light. We arrived in jeans and runners and loved that though it is a... More

I had heard that kelp were a big feature of this restaurant; unluckily, we weren't there is the kelp season, but the Executive Chef, Warren Barr, had set aside some during the kelp season to make a kelp kimche, a fermented seaweed dish. He gave us some to try, and we thought it was excellent. Of course, the regular dishes... More
