Description: Surveying the panoramic vistas from the westernmost point of Tofino’s idyllic Chesterman Beach, The Pointe Restaurant’s Refined West Coast cuisine and attentive service come gift-wrapped with 240 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, surrounding islands and wildlife. Much of the fresh seafood is fished from the very waters overlooked by The Pointe, and a longstanding focus on locally sourced, high quality ingredients is evident. Dinner is offered on a seasonal à la carte menu, but for the best of the best, try Chef de Cuisine Nick Nutting’s weekly tasting menu; Daily brunch is a true treat. Out of the ordinary desserts reflect an innovative Pastry program where most everything - from bread to butter to scrumptious chocolate croissants are housemade. An extensive wine list, recognized yearly by Wine Spectator magazine, showcases BC’s finest selections with a broad range of international bottlings. Over 100 Scotch Whiskies and a creative cocktail menu can be savoured in the comfortable On the Rocks Lounge. A true taste of Rustic Elegance On Nature’s Edge - and the West Coast’s best views - are on the menu at The Pointe Restaurant and On the Rocks Lounge.

The setting of the Pointe Restaurant with its expansive windows and panoramic views is overlooking the beach, the waves and jagged rocks. The interior is upscale and understated sophistication. The food preparation is outstanding; fine dining at its best and the menu offers a variety of choices. The service is excellent and the experience is one we will remember for... More

The restaurant juts out from the main hotel building so you feel like you're right over the ocean (which you almost are). It's a very romantic setting, although we were there with your 7 year old and they were very accommodating (kid's menu, crayons, etc.) The waitstaff are very professional and take the time to explain each dish to you... Have eaten here many times...and this was the first time we were denied a window seating. Unsure why as the restaurant was empty but for two other couples. We were assured on the phone when I called that we would be saved a place, but on arrival were shocked to hear it was reserved for the in house guests only.... More

This restaurant, at the elegant Wickannish Inn in Tofino, offers carefully crafted gourmet meals in a spectacular setting—one is literally perched out on rocks above the ocean waves. A reservation is a must and if possible try to secure a table by the window. Each dish is planned and prepared with lot of thought producing subtle flavor combinations. The only... More

We went for brunch and the meals we ordered were delicious and beautifully presented. While our hostess who seated us was not very thoughtful, our server (the first Tofino local we met!) provided us with attentive and considerate service. The portions aren't huge, but ordering dessert took care of that. I highly recommend the cheese, especially the soft cheese from... More

Celebrating our honeymoon, we had the occasion to make this our first evening out in Tofino. Riding our Cruisers down the beach in full dress attire, we were greeted at by the hotel valet who happily helped us park our bikes in the valet lot. The restaurant provided us an excellent table by the window overlooking the Pacific and we... More

If you are in Tofino, B.C, whether you stay at The Wickaninnish Inn or not, you should make reservations at The Pointe. The atmosphere is casual, yet elegant, with a panoramic view of the most gorgeous ocean and mountains. The service is noticeably a notch above most places I've ever been to. We were fortunate to have Nolan for both... More

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at the Pointe at the end of July. While making the reservation the rep asked if we were celebrating anything special and we told them. We arrived early for our reservation after walking along beautiful Chesterman Beach. We were invited to sit in the bar area while our table was being... More

A lovely property and dining room but the portion size of our crab and corn salad breakfast entree was so small that we left hungry and not at all satisfied. The entree was $24. The service was wonderful and the scenery breathtaking.
