Tofino has a number of "up-scale" coffee shops. The Common Loaf is much more rustic. All baked good are made on site, coffee was fresh, and there is a good selection of teas.

We had a couple of meals here and enjoyed the variety. Lots of tempting goodies to choose from. I'd go back next time we are in Tofino.

Enjoyed a delicious gluten free lemon square and a hot chocolate. Sat upstairs and enjoyed a bit of a view. My partner enjoyed a cafe mocha. It was a cold rainy day and it was a great stop to warm up and dry off.

We had breakfast here....we both had eggs and toast. As reviewed by others the peasant bread is yummy....we bought a loaf to take home with us and it was still warm in the bag. Two eggs cooked how you like, my husband also got the potatoes and thought there could have been a few more! I had a double americano... More

We wanted to eat something different and were pleasantly surprised to find several choices of healthy breads and desserts that were a delightful addition to our meals. Look forward to going again the next time we come to holiday here in Tofino, B.C.

I had the ginger scone, and it was delicious. Wonderful breads, lunch dishes and coffees. You can sit upstairs or outside for a bit of a view. Good place to grab food to take to the beach or a hike.

A cool, local bakery with interesting and tasty offerings. A perfect place to get a light lunch or snack, and fast wifi so you can post all the great photos you've taken!

This place makes fantastic breads, sandwiches and pastries. They only take cash though - and there are limited options for celiacs. Not a requirement of a bakery, but one as home rooted as this in Tofino it would be nice if they offered a homemade gluten free loaf of bread.

Hi, We do have a gluten free bread which we make. Perhaps we were out when you visited as we only make a few a day. Sorry we weren't able to provide one for you. More

But we didn't end up ordering anything. The pastries in the case were not appetizing at all. They looked hot and sticky (and it was a cold day) and messy. We were never served while we were at the counter. It was a turn-off. We left.

It was raining lightly when we wandered into the bakery. The smell was a delight to the senses. We ordered the soup of the day with their fresh, specialty bread. It was just what the doctor ordered on a cool, rainy day. Although the bakery is not fancy, it was cozy and cute.
