Want to know what is happening in Tofino then hang here for a few hours. Everyone evenetually shows up for a coffee, a loaf, or just a snack.

We showed up here every morning just before opening. The coffee wasn't the greatest, but we tend to be a bit picky on coffee. However, the best part of coming early is you can grab a pastry that is still hot. We had the chocolate croissants every morning. We would get them and the chocolate would still be warm and... More

A little off the main street on 1st. Avenue & well worth stopping in. Great selection of baking and some wonderful paninis & soups. WiFi spot, coffee & more. Inside & outside seating, upstairs offers a bit of a view of the harbour. Excellent quality, affordable prices.

The sitting area was really nice, and the espresso was good, but I had the worst carrot spice muffin I have ever had - dry and powdery with no carrot taste. My husband had a cinnamon bun, and was very disappointed - it did not have the traditional gooey consistency, and had a predominant taste of honey, not cinnamon.

This bakery is almost like a Tofino icon. It's been around for so many years. They also offer sandwiches in addition to baked goods.

The Spotted Bear restaurant served their Peasant Bread and I fell in love with it. So I ran over the Common loaf to pick one up before we travelled back home. Bit chaotic at the counter, and the restrooms were frankly disgusting which was really off putting. I found the entire bakery grubby and in need a good clean. But... More

Definitely the best coffee (or at least the best Flat White) in Tofino, combined with helpful tourist tips!

We popped in here for a coffee and a cake and I experienced my first cinnamon bun in British Colombia. It was amazing! You must visit.

I have the Common Loaf another try on my recent trip to Tofino and was again disappointed. My friend and I ordered the same flavour muffin - and both didn't finish. My friends comment was "way too much baking soda!" It's disappointing, as it's such a cute place and convenient when you're launching kayaks, but I won't be going back.
