I always stop in at the Common Loaf when I'm in Tofino, but I'm starting to wonder why. Yes, I can get my fancy tea latte, but it's not the only place in town I can do that. I usually find a treat that's pretty good, but not great. (This time it was the sour lemon bar - I'd give... More

Was not impressed by the common loaf. Not a big selection for lunch. only paninis and pizza, one kind of soup. :( had the peso chicken which was good tho. Coffee was self serve and not great. Server seemed more interested in DJing than serving. Table was dirty n so was high chair.

This bakery has become a frequent stop for soup and bread, coffee or a beer. Always welcomed by friendly staff, never disappointed by our order. Head upstairs to enjoy the view! Cash only so make sure you come prepared.

Sit and enjoy a coffee or order lunch like we did. Panini's are well worth it. Had a mocha that was sooo good. Great assortment of breads, muffins and even some pizza by the slice. Order a panini!!

We always stop for an espresso drink and a treat after walking one of the beaches. Never disappointed. It is a friendly accommodating place with a nice variety of baked treats, sweet and savoury. They also serve meals but I've never tried the soup or sandwiches. One of these days.

The baking is very good, including the muffins. The stromboli is definitely my favourite. The coffee is good. There is a nice upstairs seating area, with outside seating available. There are blankets you can use to cover up and watch the inlet if you want. A very cool atmosphere overall. There is free wifi, though it's not very reliable.

We came here for breakfast and stood in line. You know a place is good when people are willing to stand in line. Great tasting baking, breakfast dishes and superb coffee. Great atmosphere.

The first time we stopped at the Common Loaf was in 1983. It was the cool place to have a coffee and healthy baked goods. Since then we go to Tofino at least every year or so and the Common Loaf is where we have coffee and their cheese buns and cinnamon buns. Always the best. Never failed yet.
