I went into this funky Restaurant while waiting to head home to Victoria with my wife. We sat in an ocean view seat and we were welcomed by our server Alex. I had a great gourmet burger with the "soup of the day". What a treat! The Borscht was simply spot on! The burger was delicious and my wife and... More

We got off the ferry and went straight here for breakfast. We entered by the bakery and almost left thinking there was no where left to sit. If you go around the corner it opens up into a nice large dining room with lots of tables. We all enjoyed our meals and the kids menu was great too. Only issue... More

Wasn't sure what to expect and was presently surprised! Great green curry bowl / noodles and the Friday special (Halibut on Sweet Potato) was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Very good chowder too. A very tasty meal. We went back the next night. Highly recommended.

Great location, tasty food, beautiful glasswork as part of the decor. Great option for couples or dinner out with friends but still family friendly too.

My family and I visited Salt Spring for our first time. After arriving off of the ferry we planned on dining at Rock Salt. I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere as you are captivated by its warmth, architectural design and colour. The food was sublime and full of flavor. My husband had the burger and fries which was perfect... More

We arrived for the ferry about an hour early and had a beer and muscles. The beer was great and on special! And the salt spring muscles in white wine sauce were fantastic! Great way to end an awesome trip to this quiet island to unwind!

a great little place to have a coffee and a homemade treat while you wait for the ferry. Perhaps a lunch break with friends. Or a quiet dinner with someone special.

I sometimes buy coffee there. I tried to eat there 3 times but had to leave after beeing ignored for over 20 min. My last attempt at a meal there was in early 2014. Given up on it as a restaueant

The Rock Salt Cafe is best known locally as "let's get something to eat before we catch the ferry". But it's more than that. A good lunch and dinner menu is worth a try. It's more funky than elegant in its decor, but the staff are friendly (though not super fast), and the food is good. They have some amazing... More
