Lovely café overlooking water

Had a nice lunch here during my stay in salt spring. I had the beef bolognese with egg noodles. It was tasty.

Had both business meetings and meetings with the family at this place. Lovely staff. Excellent pasta. The lasagna tasted as it should taste.

We had dinner here and we are never going back. I ordered the special, duck salad. That duck was so hard and tough, I couldn't eat it. There was no dressing on the salad. My soup was not locally made, it was a commercial product, which is funny considering Salt Spring has a huge farm community that can provide fresh... More

We stopped for lunch. Nice location but 55 minutes to receive our food order. Pasta was OK but small helpings and overpriced. Also the draft beer was tepid. There are many better places in Ganges.....try the Tree House for better service and atmosphere

This was quite possibly the worst service we have ever experienced at a restaurant, including San Francisco, NYC, and many tourist destinations around the world. The staff were so rude that it was embarrassing; from the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel most unwelcome. We overheard several other families commenting on this and walking away disgusted. We... More

We ate here on our one night in Ganges this year, and the food was just lovely. Fabulous sea food (esp scallops), and a divine truffle mushroom risotto that was really a meal in itself. Yummy. Our waiter really knows his wine and was particularly enthusiastic about BC wines - without being ridiculously "patriotic" about Salt Spring ones. Only slight... More

We arrived at the prime dinner hour and were seated right away. Our orders were taken and then we waited almost an hour to get our meals. The food was very good, I had the halibut special with shallot and saffron sauce. It was delicious. There is seating outdoors overlooking the water which is lovely. My recommendation would be to... We rushed to make our 6:00 PM reservation, waited 15 minutes for water, and another 30 minutes for our order to be taken. There appears to be a serious shortage of staff. When our waiter finally came, were were told mains would be another 45 minutes, but appies would be fast. We opted for appies only. They came after 45... More

I was excited to go to this restaurant while visiting friends on salt spring island. It was my first visit and we all went there because it had a beautiful view. We waited 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation and then another 30 minutes to order. All four of us ordered the halibut special for $32 a... More

I was visiting my grandparents, who live on Saltspring, and made a reservation for 7:00 to take them out for dinner on Tuesday, August 4th. We arrived in the parking lot just at 7:00 so my girlfriend went into the restaurant to grab our table while I parked. When I got in a few minutes later, she still hadn't been... More
