It felt like they were just learning the ropes really, service was slow and although the tea and scone was good, it's kinda hard to go too far wrong with something like this Wouldn't have eaten anything more substantial here though More

We had a delicious lunch at Auntie Pesto's. We enjoyed the harbor view at a table for two. The smoked salmon open sandwich was divine - probably one of the best I've had in a long time. The rye bread was amazing as was the superb cream cheese blended with freshly grown herbs. This is a great place go after... More

After comparing menus between Auntie Pesto's and the other bistro across the parking lot, we decided on dinner here based on the number of people eating, and the available table on the patio, despite not having a reservation. We made the right choice! The patio faces a small marina and was both quiet and scenic. My partner and I have... More

We had just arrived on the island and were recommended to this cafe for a light lunch. We arrived just before the crowd and were given an outside table overlooking the water. We both ordered a "local" BC beer on tap, which was fresh and most welcome. For lunch we each ordered a sharing plate. One had assorted meats and... More

Excellent location on the harbour - get an outside table and enjoy the fresh air blowing in from the ocean. Good, wholesome food - we all had pasta and it was very nicely presented. A little disappointed that the pasta was not homemade (there is a store in Ganges which sells homemade pasta...why would they not support a local store,... More

Enjoy your meal with a beautiful harbour view. Very nice breakfasts. I would have prefer to have a choice other than sour dough and rye bread for. Whole grain bread would have been a better choice for toast for me. I think Auntie Pesto's has the best coffee on the Island. Expensive and you pay for extra fillings, but worth... More

This was some of the best italian food we have ever had. The bacon wrapped haddock in mushroom cream sauce was far beyond expectations. The waiter we had was entertaining and engaging. The waitress we were supposed to have seemed less than capable though, so we were glad to have been switched. More

On my top two list for breakfast in Ganges, the draw for me is definitely the food and the coffee. Situated with lovely harbour views, they always have intriguing art on display, and except on busy market days, it tends to feel bucolic. Service tends to the slow side and on my most recent encounters (July 2011) the servers wouldn't... More
