The woman that owns this restaurant is always there working, and she is personable, helpful and only wants to give you a great dining experience. The fish and chips are consistently great-salads are big and fresh and she has new specials all the time. When I go with the family and kids, we usually all get fish and chips but... More

This place doesn't look much from the outside but if you walk through you will realise it has the most wonderful view. We had fish and chips which was simple and good and the lady who worked there (think she was the owner) was very friendly and helpful and we had a great lunch. We had the most incredible weather... Not only the best fish and chips on Salt Spring island but also a wonderful sea view at most tables and on the out door patio. Always friendly service. Very handy while waiting for the ferry to come in for a take out as well. Staff is great. This restaurant is always on the family's agenda when paying a visit... More

I'm a semi-regular here when on island for business and often have a quick pint or StrongBow on the perfect seaside deck whilst awaiting the ferry arrival. I often get a bag of fresh fries to go, which are to die for! Always freshly made in good quality oil and slightly greasy just like the best places make them in... More

Service EXCELLENT. Food was okay. I had the mussels again and a side Ceasar. My friend had the halibut and chips. He LOVED it. Monday noonish. No one around. Great view if not for the fog. Am disappointed slightly I should have had the fish.LOL :)

I took two elderly ladies to the Seaside and had a thoroughly lovely fish and chip lunch. The fish portions were not huge, but very tasty. We opted for half chips and half salad which was a nice offering as not all restaurants allow a bit of salad as well as chips. We got there just after 12 noon and... More

We were told by Cliff at Garry Oaks Winery to come here for the halibut fish and chips; the best he has ever had. So we did, and they were fantastic. Two huge pieces of fresh halibut. Unfortunately, the place was packed and we had no reservations, so we didn't get to sit on the deck overlooking the water. The... More

This was our first time at this restaurant and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Be sure to make a reservation beforehand so you can request a table out on the deck as the views and sunset over the water were spectacular!

We have come to this restaurant on and off for the past 20 years and are still enjoying the food. We love their clam chowder and fish and chips. Again, this visit did not disappoint and we really enjoyed our meals. The weather was gorgeous and we managed to get a table outside. Friendly service, and the meals were served... More
