Great patio, decent food

My 2nd trip...across the street from the vacation rental I like to use at Vesuvius. Fun place, has a nice patio that is perfect for sunset. I have only had the BBQ ribs, which are great, but I hear from others that the other food is also good. Like all other places on the Island, can be a bit... read more

Because we were staying at the Quarrystone B and B, we were looking for a dining location that would be closer to our B and B than the 20 minute drive from Ganges. Another couple recommended the Seaside Restaurant, so the six of us made a reservation for dinner. The location right next to the Crofton Ferry terminal makes for... More

Made a reservation on a busy Saturday. Seated right away. Great server with great sense of humor. Beautiful view. The fried halibut was sublime. We ordered another piece. Perfect fries. Only thing that disappointed was the Caesar salad, with sort of gloppy overly garlicky dressing. The garden salads at other tables looked better. But nevermind that. Go for the view... More

lovely sunset and okay fish and fries but had to wait one hour plus for our food. Slow inattentive service Fish and chips could easily have been served in 5 minutes no water refills, no requests for second beverage portions small

Oddly busy for a Wednesday night. Very, very, very slow service. According to their website the "New England Clam Chowder homemade and loaded with clams served with garlic toast" We had a hard time seeing the clams, the soup was bland like they watered it down or something. We both sent it back. My grilled fish was over cooked. House... More

This was our first visit to this end of the island. Having read the reviews we decided to stop in on a Sarurday evening, no reservation. Quite busy, but there were tables. Great location on the water, nice outside deck and quaint inside. We chose to stay inside as people looked a bit chilly outdoors. Had halibut and chips and... More

Our hosts recommended this place, and OMG! Once we tried it, we just kept going back. The menu features their "Famous Fish and Chips" and with good reason. Absolutely the best I've ever had, anywhere. Everything we tried was great, especially the steamed mussels, but you don't want to miss the deep-fried fresh local halibut (in season). Sure, the place... More

Food is excellent, fresh, tasty, plenty of choices. Service is great. The view is to die for. If I lived locally, this would be a regular spot. Prices are way less than you'd expect.

Seriously good haddock and chips tasted very fresh.Too many pubs nowadays serve tasteless refrozen fish and chips .No comparison with seaside kitchen.Would go again. It is just by the ferry terminal so when you are in that line up and feeling hungry...."..

Our Vacation suite was around the corner so we ate here 2 nights in a row. Something we almost never do on a vacation because there is just so much to explore. The grilled halibut was outstanding so were the crab cakes and calamari.
