The soul of Saltspring, the food of your life

The title says it all. Delicious meals made straight from the garden, customized meals with awesome twist you would never expect, awesome owners that truely care, amazing selection of books for sale, hard to find words to give it what it deserves...

This eclectic looking little cafe had me expecting a lovely coffee experience. However the barista was terribly unpleasant! Don't know if she was having a bad day or just snooty. They advertise a house made nut milk for their lattes but I was promptly and rudely told they were out. They only accept visa for purchases over $20 with a... More

We used to visit this bakery whilst waiting for the ferry at Fulford. However, now we would deliberately just go there to get a loaf of bread and/or a pastry. Most important aspect for us, everything is organic. The bread is paleo, not gluten free, but organic wheat - tastes lovely! The pastries are always fresh and tasty. We find... More

A truly unique atmosphere, careful attention to detail makes it not just a place to eat but a work of Art. But the best part is the consciously dedicated service that every order is given. A Divine oasis that is a must to experience.

You don't go to the morning side cafe, you "do" the morning show cafe. The owner is a great supporter of green causes, and sells an interesting library of books on tangent topics. What up are really going for though if the experience of meeting Manon. I call her the radical French woman. Not to her face. Manon is an experience not... More

This cafe breathes of the love that owners Alan and Monet have poured into the space. Every inch has been built and created with intention and care. The warm wooden benches, sunlight books and delicious scents cradle and delight the senses. The drinks are excellent and the hosts clearly care about their guests. A visit to salt spring is not... For us, a trip to Salt Spring Island wouldn't be complete without a visit to Morningside Café. We first visited the café in 2010 and loved the food. My wife and I usually get the veggie burgers and the kids love the croissants and pizza. The veggie burgers taste so good they are almost addictive. I don’t particularly recall the... More

On Salt Spring Island we pride ourselves in our diverse, welcoming community. Visitors come from near and far to experience our unique culture, our arts, our agriculture and our healthful food and wellness practises. Morningside Bakery have been an embarrassment to the village of Fulford...unfriendly, expensive and often down right rude.

Too much of the sixties tye dye atmosphere and way too pricey. Small and cold. Seems like it is a coffee shop that forgot to evolve
