Too much of the sixties tye dye atmosphere and way too pricey. Small and cold. Seems like it is a coffee shop that forgot to evolve

My wife and I LOVE to read & are always looking for something new to dig our teeth into. Morningside delivers - every time. Our only problem is that we usually find so many great books, we have to leave with arm-loads of them! For those who spend as much time in bookstores as we do - it is easy... More

What's with the woman working behind the counter on Saturday September 20, 2014? She started off rude and became ruder. I told her several times, I can't hear you, please speak up. She managed after that to turn away from me when she spoke, I mean mumbled. The customer before me asked, how much; she pointed at the till rather... More

Not your average cafe but a cozy corner to linger. If fact, I found it hard to leave. One coffee turned into brunch, one visit turned into another... Like any gem, not all is seen on the surface level. The menu looked good but it was only when I tasted it did I discover how extraordinary the food was. And,... More

this place seems to be super unhappy :( and projects it to customers, sadly :( We were chilled, not in a hurry, but barista seemed very stressed and upset by our presence....... we pondered. The world is a rough place, we couldn't figure out not how a place can be so angry when so many people would swap lives with... More

What a horrible place to go to. First of all, the owners are extremely rude and the food is dry and tasteless. I should have known as I was wondering how they can call themselves a bakery yet they don't have any ovens. The sandwich I got tasted like it was made with two day old bread. It was flavourless,... This little oasis in a sea of island mediocrity has long been one our favourite Salt Spring experiences. For sure, the best coffee, breads, treats and sandwiches around. Everything is fresh and organic; try the vegetarian pizza. And, once-per-once, the bookstore punches well above its weight.

The ambience of morningside is magnetic and it's visibly buzzing with energy and love. The beverages and baked goods are unique and intoxicatingly delicious. This place is rad!

This is my favourite coffee shop of Salt Spring. Being in Fulford has great appeal too. It's an enchanting little sanctuary to go read, or zone out, or meet solid people over the best latte's and food around.
