Delicious!

The sandwich I love is the vegan veggie burger - big enough to share and super delicious! The books are all revolutionary and so are the owners: not your ordinary purveyors of fine coffee, there's a touch of the mystical about this place. Try the chai!

I am thankful my career provides the opportunity to meet many people and experience great food. Morningside Organic Cafe was a surprising diamond in the rough as I waited for the Salt Spring Ferry. Meeting Manon was beyond interesting. The experience of enjoying what was one of the best chai latte's I have sipped, was beyond other i have experienced... More

As a vegan I was very excited to find a place that accommodates my particular lifestyle. Manon was helpful, kind, and chatty :) I had a delicious and filling miso soup and a cup of hot chocolate which was a perfect combo after a long bike ride in the rain! I will be back :)

The veggie burger was out of this world - there didn't seem to be anything cheap or shortcutted about it, and was topped with nutritious greens which she grew right behind the counter :) The service was honest - no fake smiles just because we ares strangers, just honest conversation and a tone that she was very proud of the... I asked for an Americano. She asked if I wanted milk or cream. I responded "Milk". She mumbled something that she wouldn't repeat. "Nothing" is all that I heard. When given my beverage I asked where the milk was, to which she responded "It's in there". Not a good sign. I tasted it. Coconut cream/milk! I asked, and she confirmed... More

Love the food & drinks -on-the-run before catching the ferry; the morning glory muffin is amazing. When we have time we love to have a meal. They are all good, all of the time! A must for anyone visiting the island.

I love Morningside Bakery Cafe, and can always rely on their hearty and healthy veggie burger to pick up and take home with me back to Victoria. I'm unsure why there are terrible reviews -- it's Salt Spring Island, people. Be prepared for a little bit off the beaten path. Service is gracious and always speedy. Prices are a little... More
