unusual - in a good way

walking into that place was like walking into a different world. the adobe-type front with its funky, sunny decor made us all cry out: "we want to spend all day here!" and then the books. what an unusual selection! a sufi novel, collections of poetry, lots of ecology stuff ... my friend bought... read more

I am a fair person who has worked in hospitality for over 20 years - I understand what it's like to have a bad day at work but what I experienced was beyond someone having a bad day. We just arrived on Salt Spring and there are limited options when getting off the ferry for a nice cup of coffee... More

Best hidden wonder on Salt Spring. Inspired, creative and full of soul. It's a walk back in time to more simple days but with forward thinking and inspiration. Don't miss this gem!

Nice light lunch, full of flavour. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Coffee was great as well. Sits on a nice quiet street, lined with trees.

The title says it all. Delicious meals made straight from the garden, customized meals with awesome twist you would never expect, awesome owners that truely care, amazing selection of books for sale, hard to find words to give it what it deserves...

This eclectic looking little cafe had me expecting a lovely coffee experience. However the barista was terribly unpleasant! Don't know if she was having a bad day or just snooty. They advertise a house made nut milk for their lattes but I was promptly and rudely told they were out. They only accept visa for purchases over $20 with a... More

We used to visit this bakery whilst waiting for the ferry at Fulford. However, now we would deliberately just go there to get a loaf of bread and/or a pastry. Most important aspect for us, everything is organic. The bread is paleo, not gluten free, but organic wheat - tastes lovely! The pastries are always fresh and tasty. We find... More

A truly unique atmosphere, careful attention to detail makes it not just a place to eat but a work of Art. But the best part is the consciously dedicated service that every order is given. A Divine oasis that is a must to experience.

You don't go to the morning side cafe, you "do" the morning show cafe. The owner is a great supporter of green causes, and sells an interesting library of books on tangent topics. What up are really going for though if the experience of meeting Manon. I call her the radical French woman. Not to her face. Manon is an experience not... More
