Oystercatcher

We went here for some fish and chips. The restaurant had a cozy feel. Our server was very friendly and went out of her way to accommodate our requests. The food was good.

This place has a nice patio and upstairs harbour view. Stretched service and kitchen. Good on tap cider. Kitchen is not so great. We had pretty boring oysters and crab cakes, and much of the dishes seem to come with terrible white rice.

Had a great dinner on a quiet night and the service was awesome! The halibut and fries was excellent and the waitress was patient with those of us who wanted to split meals.

The seafood chowder was good. Restaurant was missing the ambience I had hoped for. Wish there was no TVs and some jazz on the cd player.

The location is great. We sat on the outskirts of the patio near the water. Great vibes with the band playing and firpits going. Very enjoyable. Service was good and prompt. Food was tasty however we felt the portion sizes were a little disappointing. If we went again I would try a different item on the menu. I had a... More

The location of the Oystercatcher is superb, with a great deck overlooking the Ganges marina. There was an acoustic guitarist and singer who added nicely to our late afternoon supper. The food was OK, pretty basic fish and chips but with a nice selection of oysters. After placing our order and getting half of our food, though, our waitress (Asia)... More

This restaurant has the best location and view of the Ganges harbour and is therefore always busy. Unfortunately I and my guests were disappointed on several counts with the service speed of delivery and regretfully the quality of the meals. I probably will not go there again unless they change the way they do things. We asked for some substitutions... More

We had some great burgers and pasta there. It was nice sitting outside with a view of the marina, and the chill was kept at bay by an open fire near us.

We enjoyed a very good lunch here when the restaurant was very busy, in September of 2014, so tried it again this year, for a late lunch on a Thursday. The service was good, but the food was just meh. My halibut tacos were tasteless other than the salsa, and my the chicken in my spouse's "crispy chicken" burger was... More
