My husband and I really enjoyed Opa when we patronized it 10 years ago. We still remember the sushi then. We always go to Opa whenever we are in town. Through the years - it has not disappointed us. However, this latest trip (last week) was a disappointment. Hope they return to their high standard of yesteryears.

Best sushi I've ever had. Knocks the sock off any sushi in Vancouver. Well done! Very fresh and interesting.

Prince Rupert has not s lot of options for dining (for now) and this one is probably one of the best option you will have. Don'e expect Tokyo quality, but the place is clean, the food week prepared and the fish very fresh.

The setting inside the restaurant was simple and beautiful with a lot of old wood and simple ocean throwback décor like paper octopus lanterns. Very fitting. All the staff was friendly and professional and food was delicious. Our group ate here about 5 times in 11 nights, and while we noticed that the quality depended on who was in the... More

We ordered miso soup all around, chirashi don, chef selection sashimi tray large, gyozas and a spattering of rolls. Hot sake too. By the time we had been seated we were starving and I hadn't had decent sushi in two months (since I'd been up north for work). This place looked promising and we were definitely (seriously) starving. The plan... More

My husband and I could hardly tell our 4 different rolls apart from each other, bland. Server was very nice and handling the restaurant well on her own , but couldn't quite make up for the fact that the sushi was very disappointing. Sadly, the great pottery was the best part of the restaurant

Fantastic Sushi in this upper level establishment. Very cozy and simple but the sushi is worthy of high praise. The Volcano roll is delectable. Not sure how they manage in the winter since there appeared to be no insulation but it gave it that rustic feel. Wasabi or green tea ice cream for dessert - yummy!

Went here again since their food is always so fresh and tasty! The maki sushi was fantastic, and the presentation was wonderful – well done chef. I was a bit disappointed with the service this time, it was quick a bit less attentive than I’ve come to expect and it was not that busy so I am not sure what... More

We thought because of the proximity to the ocean and the bounty of fresh fish caught everyday that this sushi would be amazing, but it was overpriced and basically average.
